The film released in theatres last November. Though it was appreciated for its efforts, the film didn’t perform as per expectations at the box office.
In an interview with Indian Express, the actor said, “You pick yourself up and move on. You have to hit back, you can’t sulk. Take a few days and get back to work. With Bhediya, my expectations were huge but we came in that period… However, the film found its audience on OTT and three months after the release, the studio surprised me with the news that there will be a sequel. I love that character and am really looking forward to playing it again.”
Meanwhile, Varun Dhawan is gearing up for the release of Bawaal. It stars Janhvi Kapoor and will release on Prime Video on July 21.

For the same, she filmed several promotional bits and one of them left the lead actors in splits.
A video was shared by Gal Gadot where she says, “We are the cast of Heart of Stone”. This is followed by Alia saying, “We are going to attempt to try and tell you everything you need to know about the film in 15 seconds, without any spoilers.” Everyone uses different words to describe the movie but Alia eventually mispronounces a word which leaves everyone bursting into laughter.

Directed by Tom Harper, the film takes viewers on a relentless journey as Rachel Stone (Gal Gadot) appears to be an inexperienced tech, on an elite MI6 unit headed up by lead agent Parker (Jamie Dornan). What her MI6 team doesn’t know is that Stone actually works for the Charter — a covert peacekeeping organization, secret even from other spies, which uses cutting-edge technology to neutralize global threats. Rachel has been trained to be the consummate professional: a phenomenal field agent who sticks to the mission follows the numbers, and trusts no one. When a routine mission is derailed by mysterious hacker Keya Dhawan (Alia Bhatt), Rachel’s two lives collide. Featuring several TV celebs, the show will kick off today. Prior to that, the director did several interviews where he talked about the show. He also said that he is excited for Jawan and was happy to see Pathaan become tremendously successful.
Rohit Shetty, who has worked with Shah Rukh Khan in Chennai Express and Dilwale, told News18, “I loved the promo. I love director Atlee and he is superb. I don’t think I have missed any of Atlee’s films. I’m loving it. I’m loving that Pathaan did so well and now there’s a blockbuster written in Jawan in every frame.”
When asked if he wishes to direct Shah Rukh Khan in an action genre, he added, “Most definitely, if some good script comes up we will for sure.”
Meanwhile, Rohit Shetty will also make his digital debut with the web series Indian Police Force starring Sidharth Malhotra, Shilpa Shetty and Vivek Oberoi. He has Singham Again with Ajay Devgn and Deepika Padukone.
On the other hand, Jawan is a Red Chillies Entertainment presentation, directed by Atlee, produced by Gauri Khan and co-produced by Gaurav Verma. The film will release worldwide in theatres on September 7, 2023 in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages.

Featuring several TV celebs, the show will kick off today. Prior to that, the director did several interviews where he talked about the show and even about his last release Cirkus which failed at the box office. Starring Ranveer Singh, Pooja Hegde, Jacqueline Fernandez among others, the film faired poorly at the box office.
Shetty said that he made Cirkus during the pandemic keeping the audience in mind at the time. “I know what we did. We, obviously, went wrong somewhere. It was made right after Sooryavanshi and in the middle of the pandemic for the workers. It was a small film meant for the audience of that time,” the filmmaker said to India Today.
The filmmaker added that it was the same audience that made Sooryavanshi a hit during the pandemic. He said that he takes ownership of the failure and such failures ground you. “Every 5 years, you are grounded by such failures,” he said.
