Disha Patani is making her Tamil debut with the film, which features a stellar star cast of Kovai Sarala, Yogi Babu, Anand Raj, Redin Kingsley, Ravi Raghavendra, and others in supporting roles. The movie is being shot in 2D and in 3D. The biggie is set to release in theatres in 10 languages across India and worldwide. Disha also has Yodha opposite Sidharth Malhotra and Project K with Prabhas.

RX100 director Ajay Bhupathi is back with a bang! Mangalavaar teaser out! Watch

Known for his cult blockbuster RX100, Ajay Bhupathi brings another intensely intriguing flick on sets titled Mangalavaar. Hindi Teaser of this raw and rustic village action thriller is out today and it’s garnering a phenomenal response from everyone in no time. As the title of the teaser says ‘Fear In Eyes’, it unveiled fear in the eyes of a few villagers with breathtaking visuals and thrilling BGM.

Justifying his own statements about the content, Ajay seems to deliver a never-seen-before genre film in Indian cinema. The extremely raw and intense clips sent chills down the spine and the background score by ‘Kantara’ fame Ajaneesh Loknath has added an eerie soul to it. Besides Payal Rajput, the teaser also gave a glimpse of Shravan Reddy, Chaitanya Krishna, Nandita Swetha, Ajay Ghosh, Laxman and many others playing pivotal roles in the film.

Leaving no stone unturned in standards, the team has successfully wrapped up the 99 days of the shoot on June 12th and is now heading to the post-production works.

Speaking on the occasion, Producers Swathi Reddy Gunupati and Suresh Varma M said “Our director Ajay Bhupathi has proved himself as a phenomenal filmmaker yet again. He made a commercial film with great content. It’s going to be a next-level film from Indian cinema and the instant trending teaser gives a glimpse of it. We’re extremely happy about the response to the teaser. Making Mangalavaar on uncompromised quality and content standards, we finished the 99 days of the shooting schedule. While the post-production works are commencing at full pace, we’re aiming for a Pan-Indian release. ‘Kantara’ fame Ajaneesh Loknath’s music is going to be a major add-on to this project. ”

Director Ajay Bhupathi said “Our Mangalavaar is a village-based rare action-thriller set in 90’s backdrop. It sticks to our nativity with raw, rustic visuals and emotions. There are 30 characters in the story and every character has got a certain place in the larger scheme of the film. Kantara fame Ajaneesh Loknath is scoring music for this film and thus the background score is going to be a major highlight of the film.”

Swathi Reddy Gunupati and Suresh Varma M are backing this project under Mudra Media Works and A Creative Works. Believing in the potential of content, makers aimed for a Pan Indian grand release in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam languages soon.

Kiara Advani reveals she had auditioned for Aamir Khan starrer Laal Singh Chaddha; says, “I really must have been terrible”

Over a year ago, Aamir Khan starrer Laal Singh Chaddha released in theatres. The actor starred alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan in the film. For the role of the female lead, Kareena had to audition. Interestingly, Kiara Advani recently revealed that she also had auditioned for the same role.

During an interview with Film Companion, Kiara Advani was asked if she would audition for a role which isn’t a norm for many mainstream actors in the industry. Kiara said, “Yes, absolutely. In fact, I also auditioned for Laal Singh Chaddha. At that time, I didn’t know it was for Laal Singh Chaddha. I really don’t want to see that audition though. I really must have been terrible. It was many many years ago.”

Kiara continued, “Casting is such an important part of filmmaking. The right cast can add so much value. It’s not about who’s a better actor. It’s about who’s better suited for the part. It’s always teamwork and it’s so important to get the right cast for a film. It’s absolutely wonderful to audition, great to know if you are suited for the part.”

On the work front, Kiara Advani has an array of line-up including Game Changer with Ram Charan. She will star in War 2 alongside Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR.

CBFC Chairperson Prasoon Joshi to watch OMG Oh My God 2 today after the Akshay Kumar-starrer was referred to the Revising Committee

Last week, Bollywood Hungama reported that the upcoming Akshay Kumar film, OMG Oh My God 2, has faced a little hindrance, thanks to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The Examining Committee (EC) of the CBFC referred the film to the Revising Committee (RC). As per reports, the decision was taken as OMG Oh My God 2 deals with religious issues and the committee wanted to make sure that it doesn’t hurt any sentiments. Reportedly, the CBFC is over-cautious about such films after they got slammed for passing Adipurush with zero cuts, whose dialogues and scenes raised a hue and cry.

Bollywood Hungama has now exclusively learnt that the screening for the Revising Committee will take place today, that is, on Monday, July 17. Prasoon Joshi, the chairperson of the CBFC, will be a part of this screening.

A source told Bollywood Hungama, “Usually, the Chief Executive Officer of the CBFC, Ravinder Bhakar, awards the certificate. His signature is seen on almost all the censor certificates. But in the case of OMG Oh My God 2, Prasoon Joshi himself will go through the film and make a decision accordingly. He has decided to spearhead the RC as the CBFC wants to be fully sure that OMG Oh My God 2 doesn’t have any scene or dialogue that can cause a problem.”

Industry insiders, however, are confident that OMG Oh My God 2 will sail through the censor process. An expert commented, “Did the first part of OMG Oh My God cause any controversy despite its content? The makers had smartly made that film and taken a balanced approach. The second part is also handled in the same manner. Let’s not forget that Akshay Kumar himself is quite religious and would never agree to be a part of a film that can hurt religious sentiments. of his beloved fans.”

OMG Oh My God 2 features Akshay Kumar as Lord Shiva and it also stars Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam. It releases on August 11 and will clash with Sunny Deol-Ameesha Patel starrer Gadar 2 in cinemas.
