Tamannaah Bhatia’s quirky pantsuit with polka dots and stripes look far from boring

One name stands out with an air of classic elegance and sartorial expertise in the dazzling world of Hollywood, where style and charm rule supreme: Tamannaah Bhatia. On Tamannaah Bhatia, stripes and polka dots go well together, and we definitely did not anticipate this one. A coat with a double collar, long sleeves, and a fitted breast is part of her stylish pantsuit. She wears it with black flared trousers that have white polka dots all over them.

Tamannaah kept her look simple, with a nude eyeshadow, mascara-coated lashes, cheekbone contouring, and a nude lipstick hue. With a set of dramatic earrings and a pair of black pump footwear, Tamannaah accessorised her playful ensemble. To complete her dazzling picture, she wore her long, rich hair open in the middle and let it fall gracefully over her shoulders.  Despite everything, in her Sergio Hudson pantsuit and huge golden hoops, we have never taken such a powerful woman more seriously as we do today.

Student of the Year 3: Karan Johar to launch Shanaya Kapoor; plans to turn next instalment into a web show

In an exciting development, Karan Johar is set to turn his hit film franchise Student of the Year into a web series. The series, which will be produced by Dharmatic Entertainment and streamed on Disney+Hotstar, will launch Sanjay Kapoor and Maheep Kapoor’s daughter, Shanaya Kapoor, according to a report by Pinkvilla. 

This is not the first time that Karan Johar is launching a new talent with the Student of the Year franchise. The first film in the franchise, which was released in 2012, introduced Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, and Sidharth Malhotra to the world. The second film, which was released in 2019, launched Ananya Pandey and Tara Sutaria.

With Student of the Year 3, Karan Johar is looking to take the franchise to the next level. The series is currently in the writing stage and is scheduled to go on floors in the last quarter of this year. The director for the show is expected to be finalised within a month. However, Karan has not made any official announcement to confirm the same. 

For the unversed, Shanaya Kapoor, daughter of actor Sanjay Kapoor and Maheep Kapoor, has been waiting for her big break for a while now. She was initially set to make her debut with Karan Johar’s film Bedhadak, but the project was shelved due to script issues.

Having said that, it is worth mentioning here that Shanaya is all set to make her acting debut with Mohanlal’s recently announced Pan-India epic action entertainer, Vrushabha.

Mission Impossible – Dead Reckoning: Part One Box Office: Tom Cruise starrer is doing decently, Hollywood is keeping Indian box office running

With a gap of as many as four weeks between two major Bollywood films Satyaprem Ki Katha and Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, it’s Hollywood which is keeping the moolah coming at the Indian box office. There is Mission Impossible – Dead Reckoning: Part One which is playing currently and then this Friday it would be the turn of Oppenheimer and Barbie. In between, there was Insidious: The Red Door as well which brought in respectable collections and it’s pretty much expected that between these four Hollywood outings, around Rs. 200 crores would comfortably come in.

Out of this, Rs. 100 crores will come in from Mission Impossible – Dead Reckoning: Part One itself, which is currently standing at Rs. 74 crores* after its first seven days in theatres. The film has been collecting decently during the weekdays as well, what with Rs. 4 crores* more coming on Tuesday. No, the film isn’t being unstoppable or anything because regular weekday drops have certainly come in. However, it isn’t being a one weekend show either as audiences are still stepping in at respectable numbers. Moreover, the second weekend would see a rise again, though ironically Hollywood would face competition from Hollywood in India with the arrival of Oppenheimer and Barbie this weekend.

In fact, it could well be a first for the Indian box office that as many as three Hollywood movies would be running in parallel and registering good to excellent collections. One hopes that Bollywood makes a note of it and brings in a turnaround soon enough.

Haunted Mansion Trailer: Owen Wilson, Danny DeVito, Jared Leto promise a spooky ride

In 10 days, the doors to the Haunted Mansion open! Directed by Justin Simien, the film features an all-star cast ensemble cast including LaKeith Stanfield, Tiffany Haddish, Owen Wilson, Danny DeVito, Rosario Dawson, Chase W. Dillon and Dan Levy, with Jamie Lee Curtis and Jared Leto as The Hatbox Ghost.

Inspired by the classic theme park attraction, Haunted Mansion is about a woman and her son who enlist a motley crew of so-called spiritual experts to help rid their home of supernatural squatters. The film’s producers are Dan Lin and Jonathan Eirich, with Nick Reynolds and Tom Peitzman serving as executive producers.

Haunted Mansion arrives in theatres on July 28.

Kiara Advani says 3 Idiots changed her father’s perspective on her acting ambition: “Movies have the magic of leaving that kind of impact on us”

Kiara Advani has had a good year both in her professional and personal lives. The actress got married to Sidharth Malhotra and is even receiving rave reviews for her performance in Satyaprem Ki Katha. In her recent interview, Kiara Advani said that her father wanted her to pursue academics instead of acting. It was only after he had watched Aamir Khan starrer 3 Idiots, he changed his mind.

In an interview with Film Companion, the actress recalled, “He would try and dissuade me from acting as any protective father, who is not from this industry, would. But I was like, ‘No dad this what I want to do,’ but it was after that movie that we as a family realised, even I as a person realised that if I never give this a shot, if this is something I am truly passionate about and if I don’t even try once, for myself, just to know whether I am able to do it, if somebody wants to watch me, if I will be taken in a film.”

She added, “My father realised that ‘let my kids do whatever they are passionate about because I never want them to turn around and regret that they never tried it.’ So, each of us had a different take away from that film. But that movie in many ways is responsible for my parents supporting me and I am here today because I had that support. So movies have the magic of leaving that kind of impact on us.”

Meanwhile, Kiara Advani will next star in Game Changer with Ram Charan. She also has War 2 with Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR.
