Kartik Aaryan shoots 8-minute long single shot war sequence for Kabir Khan’s Chandu Champion at Aru Valley in Jammu and Kashmir

In the second schedule of the highly anticipated sports drama Chandu Champion, the team embarked on an ambitious endeavour: shooting an astonishing 8-minute-long single-shot war sequence at a breathtaking altitude of 9000 feet above sea level and this scene will definitely be a cinematic spectacle.

The highlight of this endeavour was the filming of a 1965 battle at a scale which is unprecedented for a single-shot action sequence. The location for this daring feat was the picturesque Aru Valley in Jammu and Kashmir, nestled 9000 feet above sea level where a giant army camp set was built by the team. The preparation for this epic war sequence involved five days of intensive rehearsals with Kartik Aaryan, Vijay Raaz and Bhuvan Arora, ensuring that every detail was perfected. On the sixth day, the team executed the sequence flawlessly, capturing the essence of the dramatic wartime events.

The film will mark Kartik and Kabir’s first association and the second one with Sajid Nadiadwala. It’s indeed a big announcement coming in as the three giants of the industry will be coming together to bring an interesting real-life story of a sportsperson. Jointly produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and Kabir Khan, Chandu Champion will be directed by Kabir Khan and is all set for its grand release on the 14th of June 2024.

Kartik Aaryan likely to shoot for Koffee With Karan 8; may address the feud with Karan Johar: Report

Karan Johar is back with an all-new season of Koffee With Karan Season 8 only on Disney+ Hotstar. This season the conversation will be beyond marriages, airport looks, social media and toodles to toodles. Karan Johar will bring out the fun and no-filter side of the actors to give you all the scoop you need to discuss until the next season. Plenty of celebrities will appear on this season of the show and rumours are rife that Kartik Aaryan will be one of the guests.

A source told News18, “There’s still no clarity as to who Kartik will come with but he’s likely to be seen on the Koffee couch for the second time. The duo has decided on sorting out their differences and the episode might also see them addressing the many reports of their alleged tiff.” Kartik Aaryan previously appeared on the show with Kriti Sanon before Luka Chuppi in 2019.

For unversed, Kartik Aaryan and Karan Johar had a falling out after Dostana 2 was shelved. At the time, due to differences, Dharma Productions had vowed to never work again. However, this year, Karan Johar and Kartik seemed to have buried the hatched after attending the Indian Film Festival in Melbourne.

Koffee With Karan Season 8 will begin to brew from October 26 onwards.

Ratna Pathak Shah on lack of good roles offered to Waheeda Rehman: “All they want to do is give her a little award and stick her in one corner”

Veteran actress Ratna Pathak Shah, who is promoting her upcoming film Dhak Dhak, recently spoke about the lack of senior female actors in the film industry and how it made her feel that this career had a shelf life. In a conversation recently, she talked about how they felicitated someone as senior as Waheeda Rehman with a prestigious award but she doesn’t get the offers she deserves.

Waheeda Rehman, who was last seen in The Song of Scorpion, was recently felicitated with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award. In a conversation with Film Companion, Ratna Pathak Shah said, “When I see a Meryl Streep and a Helen Mirren, I feel if they can do it, so can I. And I’m sorry that a Waheeda Rehman in our country doesn’t get the parts that she deserves. What a fabulous woman, and what a fabulous actress she is! All they want to do is give her a little award and stick her in one corner. Really? Give her a good role for Christ’s sake. Keep the award.”

Ratna Pathak added, “All of us have had to come to terms with the way we look. And the fact that your body is changing. And if I don’t want to fiddle with it too much, I need to accept what I am. The most revealing thing to me, as stupid as it seems considering who my mother was (Dina Pathak), that I thought acting has a shelf life, as a woman. That I’ll act until I’m pretty, and then I’ll do something else. I can’t imagine I thought like that, but I did.”

Meanwhile, Dhak Dhak releases in cinemas on Friday, October 13.

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh shoot for Koffee With Karan 8: Reports

Karan Johar is back with an all-new season of Koffee With Karan Season 8 only on Disney+ Hotstar. It seems like Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are set to grace the show this season.

Reports suggest that Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone will be on the show as guests. The shoot went on till 11 pm post which both of them along with Karan Johar partied together.

Interestingly, this would be their first time on Koffee With Karan together. Deepika Padukone has previously been on the show with Sonam Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Alia Bhatt whereas Ranveer Singh has attended the show with Anushka Sharma, Arjun Kapoor, Akshay Kumar and Alia Bhatt.

Koffee With Karan Season 8 will begin to brew from October 26 onwards.

Aamir Khan confirms daughter Ira Khan and Nupur Shikhare are getting married on January 3, 2024: “I’m going to cry a lot that day”

Bollywood actor Aamir Khan has confirmed that his daughter Ira Khan is getting married to Nupur Shikhare in January 2024. The preparations have already begun and the actor is already getting emotional about his first child getting married soon.

Speaking with News 18, Aamir Khan confirmed that his daughter is getting married on January 3, 2024. “Ira is getting married on January 3. The boy she has chosen is — waise toh pet name unka naam Popeye hain — he is trainer, he has arms like Popeye but his name is Nupur. He is a lovely boy. When Ira was battling depression, he was with her. He is really someone who has stood by her and emotionally supported her. I am happy that she has selected a boy who… they are so happy together. They are very well connected, they really look after each other and care for each other,” he said.

“This might be a filmy dialogue but I feel Nupur is like a son. Nupur is such a fine boy, we really feel he’s part of the family and his mother, Pritam ji, is someone who is already a part of our family,” the actor added.

Asked about his feelings as his daughter is getting married soon, Aamir said, “Main toh bada emotional hota hoon bhai, uss din main bahut rone wala hoon yeh toh tay hai. Discussions have already begun in the family that ‘Aamir ko sambaalna uss din (take care of Aamir that day)’ because I am very emotional. I can’t control my smile nor my tears.”

During the conversation, Aamir Khan said that taking a break from work for his family really improved his relationship with his family. “My relationship with my family is improving everyday and I am enjoying that. I am enjoying with my children. This is a good phase for me because I can finally see people in my personal space more clearly. When I was lost in the passion of the creative world, people around you get blurred. It is not that they are not around, it isn’t that you don’t love them, even if there is a smallest inconvinience, I will drop everything to be by their side. But that was just emergency situations. It shouldn’t be that way. That person should be important to you on a daily basis. These are the things I learnt and realised in this two and a half year which has made me much calmer,” Aamir added.

On the work front, Aamir Khan announced Sitare Zameen Par as his next project. He is also producing Laapataa Ladies and Lahore 1947.

Manoj Bajpayee invests Rs. 31 crore in an office space in Mumbai

Bollywood actor Manoj Bajpayee has joined the ranks of Kajol, Amitabh Bachchan and many more in relation to investing in office space in Mumbai. The actor and his wife Shabana Raza have jointly invested Rs. 31 crore in a commercial real estate situated at Andheri.

According to The Economic Times, Manoj Bajpayee has purchased a four-office unit at a project by Veer Savarkar Projects in the Signature building in Oshiwara in Andheri. Each office unit measures approximately 1,905 square feet and is situated on the 12th floor with a cost of Rs. 7.77 crore each. Bajpayee and his wife paid Rs. 1.86 crore stamp duty.

Meanwhile, Manoj Bajpayee is currently shooting for Bhaiyya Ji. Bhaiyya Ji will be shot in Uttar Pradesh for 45 days. Apart from Manoj, the movie is produced by Vinod Bhanushali, Kamlesh Bhanushali, Samiksha Oswal, Shael Oswal, Shabana Raza Bajpayee and Vikram Khakhar. The release date of the film is yet to be revealed.
