Diwali 2023: Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan continue to struggle to get perfect family photos with sons Taimur and Jeh

Diwali, also known as the Festival of Lights, is a Hindu festival celebrated with great enthusiasm. The festivities began on Friday, November 10 with Dhanteras and celebrities have been sharing their family moments on social media. On the day of Laxmi Puja on Sunday, Kareena shared a series of family pictures.

Taking to Instagram, Kareena posted a bunch of family photos with Saif Ali Khan where the parents struggled to click family members with their two sons Taimur and Jeh. While Taimur would pose for the photos, Jeh was seen running around the house. The actress wore a fuschia salwar suit for the occasion whereas the actor wore a white kurta and dhoti.

Sharing the photos, Kareena captioned the post, “Year after year and still trying to get the perfect family picture… But nonetheless… Happy Diwali lovely people… from our heart to yours.”

On the work front, Kareena Kapoor Khan recently had the premiere of her movie The Buckingham Murders. The film is yet to receive a release date. She has The Crew with Tabu, Kriti Sanon and Diljit Dosanjh. Meanwhile, Saif Ali Khan has Devara with Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor.

Tiger 3 Box Office Estimate Day 1: Film collects Rs. 43 crores; Salman Khan creates All Time Diwali Day Record and emerges as no. 1 opener for Salman

Salman Khan has created history at the box office on Diwali day as his Spy Film, Tiger 3 has collected in the range of Rs. 42 to 44 crores on its opening day. With this, the film has not just scored an all-time single-day record for Laxmi Pooja Day but reached new heights that will remain unchallenged for years to come. It was Salmania at its peak as the spot bookings went to a different level with the loyal Salman Khan audience stepping up to create a special figure on day one.

Tiger 3 has surpassed the previous biggest Diwali Day by a margin of more than 100 percent, which speaks volumes about the kind of number the film has scored on day one. For those unaware, the previous record holder for the Diwali day collection is Krrish 3 at approx. Rs. 16 crores. Tiger 3 was released on the worst day of film business in India and yet clocked one of the biggest opening days of all time. The business has come primarily as the mass belts went on an overdrive owing to the raw audience pull of Salman and the recall value of the Tiger franchise.

To put things in perspective, on Laxmi Pooja Day, Tiger 3 has emerged as the no. 1 Salman Khan opener of all time by surpassing his previous best – Bharat, which collected around Rs. 42.30 crores on Eid Day. Tiger 3 has collected in the range of Rs. 17 crores in the three national chains – PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis – contributing a little over 40 percent to the total business.

Like it has been the case for all Salman Khan films, the mass belts have overperformed vis-a-vis other circuits. The non-national chains and single screens saw a new high for a Diwali day. If Tiger 3 was a normal Friday release instead of an arrival on Laxmi Pooja, it was sure to create an all-time opening record on a Non Holiday release too. The business of Tiger 3 will now see a spike on Monday and Tuesday.

Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan and the entire family pose together at their Diwali bash

The star-studded Diwali bash of Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan has been garnering a lot of attention. While it was attended by mostly their close friends and family members, the bash continued to be quite the celebrity event considering the Kapoor and Khan families came together. From Sharmila Tagore, Neetu Kapoor to Alia Bhatt, Soha Ali Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, to Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan among others, several people were present at the bash.

Soha Alia Khan took to social media to share a few inside pictures from the bash which included a frame-worthy picture with the entire Khan family. The photos featured their mother Sharmila Tagore, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Sara Ali Khan, Ibrahim Ali Khan, Saba Pataudi, Soha herself with her husband Kunal Kemmu, and she captioned them saying, “Here’s to love and light #happydiwali”. These pics were also reposted by Saba as she wrote, “Family Matters…. most. Love Blessed and happy moments.”

Besides them, the Kapoor family were also in attendance at the bash. Neetu Kapoor took to the platform to share a photo with her daughter-in-law Alia Bhatt, who attended the function with her husband Ranbir Kapoor. Also attending the function was Kareena’s cousins Armaan Jain with wife Anisa, Kareena’s father Randhir Kapoor and mother Babita, Aadar Jain, among others. Aadar Jain made news after attending the event with an unknown woman after his breakup with actress Tara Sutaria.

Apart from them, Arjun Kapoor, Amrita Arora and her husband Shakeel Ladak, among others also attended the bash.

L2 Empuraan: Mohanlal fans get excited as the first look of Lucifer sequel gets unveiled

The last collaboration of Prithviraj Sukumaran and Mohanlal created waves as the duo won hearts with the action-packed Lucifer. The superstars are now all set to get together in the director and actor space yet again after four years with the sequel to the film in the making. As they kick-started the second instalment of L2 Empuraan earlier this day, now, on November 11, during the occasion of Diwali, the makers decided to treat fans with the first look of the film.

Going by the recently unveiled first look by Mohanlal on social media, it seems that we can expect more action and power-packed stunt sequences from L2 Empuraan. Although it doesn’t show the face of superstar Mohanlal, he has been given an all-black look which also includes a matching trench coat and he is also seen holding a gun. Actor-filmmaker Prithviraj Sukumaran also took to the platform to share the same look and said, “3rd directorial. 2nd part of the franchise. 1st look. #L2E #Empuraan #Firstlook”. On the other hand, producers Aashirvad Cinemas also posted it with a caption that read, “As you soar, the devil watches from the heights. L2E – EMPURAAN First Look”.

Fans of the superstar and the movie who are eagerly awaiting an update, were thrilled to get a glimpse of the first look. Expressing their excitement, many of them took to the platform and called it a ‘blockbuster in the making’ while dropping their comments and fire emojis on the post.

For the unversed, the 2019 release Lucifer featured Mohanlal in the role of an influential entrepreneur who arrives during the death of his godfather to save his family from falling prey to their enemies. The film featured Manju Warrier, Tovino Thomas in pivotal roles with Vivek Oberoi as the antagonist. Prithviraj Sukumaran, who also directed the film, made an extended and important cameo in the film as the right-hand man of ‘Lucifer’. From what we hear Manju Warrier and Tovino Thomas will also be a part of this sequel reprising their roles from the first installment.

Coming to L2 Empuraan, details of the film are currently being kept under wraps and we hear that the film has been extensively shot across Europe. It is expected to be a pan India entertainer which will release in all South languages as well as Hindi.
