Rashmika Mandanna shares her ‘diary moments’ from her recent Tokyo trip

Rashmika Mandanna definitely had a gala time in Tokyo and the proof is the multitude posts she shared on her social media. Although most of it revolved around her attending the Crunchy Roll Anime Awards which was held earlier this month, on Wednesday, the Pushpa actress also decided to share the touristy photos where she is seen exploring the city.

Taking to her Instagram handle, Rashmika Mandanna shared several photos of her indulging in the local cuisine to shopping to her taking a walk down the street. She also shared a few unseen moments from her photoshoots and her attending the Crunchy Roll Anime Awards. She captioned the same saying, “Haven’t been able to write a dear diary in awhile but these are my dear diary moments from Tokyo”, and concluded it with a ‘feeling loved’ and heart emojis. Fans couldn’t help but shower their praises on the actress and dropped comments expressing their love for their favourite actress.

Earlier this month, after the actress landed in the Japan capital, she couldn’t stop gushing about the warm hospitality. Rashmika earned the honor of being one of first popular Indian celebrity to have been invited to attend the award function in Japan and moreover, she was also a presenter there.

On the work front, Rashmika Mandanna is gearing up for the release of her much-awaited Pushpa 2: The Rule co-starring Allu Arjun and Fahadh Faasil in August 2024. Apart from that, the actress has a series of projects in the pipeline which includes the films Rainbow, The Girlfriend, the Bollywood film Chhaava, the untitled D51 with Dhanush and Nagarjuna among others. She also has Animal Park, a sequel to the Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal, which is expected to go on floors soon.

Atlee begins working on his next A6 after Jawan; seeks approval of his son, watch

Filmmaker Atlee Kumar is basking in the glory of his directorial triumph with Jawan, a blockbuster featuring Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan. The film has not only captured the hearts of audiences worldwide but also shattered records by grossing over Rs. 1000 crores at the box office.

With the success of Jawan fueling his creative fire, Atlee is now setting his sights on his next, tentatively titled A6. This upcoming project marks his sixth directorial venture and he has already generated considerable anticipation among fans and industry insiders alike.

In a recent Instagram post on Wednesday, Atlee offered a glimpse into the early discussions surrounding A6. The accompanying video shared by the director provides a behind-the-scenes look at the brainstorming sessions and creative exchanges that are shaping the vision for his next film. The clip ends on a heartwarming note as Atlee seeks the approval of his son, who is seated on his mother’s lap, underscoring the director’s commitment to his craft and his personal journey as a father.

Pa Ranjith REACTS to rumours of casting Ranveer Singh in his Hindi film debut

Director Pa. Ranjith, known for his films like Kaala and Sarpatta Parambarai, has set his sights on Bollywood. In a recent interview with Hindustan Times, Ranjith confirmed his upcoming directorial venture in Hindi cinema.

While details regarding the project remain under wraps, Ranjith did clarify rumours surrounding the film’s lead actor. “I am doing a film in Hindi, but the casting process for the protagonist is still underway. An official announcement will be made at the opportune moment,” he stated.

This news comes after much anticipation following the nationwide success of Kaala. The film sparked important conversations and established Ranjith’s strong voice in Indian cinema. Previously, a biopic on tribal independence activist Birsa Munda was slated to be Ranjith’s next project. However, the film’s development seems to be on hold as he focuses on other endeavours.

Meanwhile, Ranjith’s production house, Neelam Studios, is all set to support director Mari Selvaraj’s (known for Pariyerum Perumal) upcoming film. This project stars Dhruv Vikram and Anupama Parameswaran in the lead roles.

Ranjith’s directorial prowess has garnered him national recognition, especially after the premiere of Sarpatta Parambarai on Amazon Prime Video. Currently, he is completing his historical drama titled Thangalaan, featuring Vikram, Malavika Mohanan, Parvathy, and Pasupathi. Set in the pre-independence era, the film delves into the struggles of tribal communities against colonial oppression in the gold mines.

Shaitaan Box Office: Ajay Devgn starrer scores a good Monday, is a hit moving to superhit

Shaitaan has scored quite well on Monday with Rs. 7.81 crores coming in. This is also the best Monday for a film in 2024 as Fighter had brought in Rs. 7 crores on its first Monday. Now Shaitaan has scored much better despite a much lesser first day when compared to Fighter, which further goes on to show how stable the film has been. Yes, Article 370 too had held quite well on Monday but that was playing on lower levels. Here, Shaitaan had a double digit Friday of Rs. 15.21 crores and from there – which was a partial holiday – to now Monday which is a regular day, the film has held up quite well.

The film has been lapped up well by family audiences as well despite its supernatural theme and the father-daughter angle with a ‘shaitaan’ in the mix of things had generated quite some sentiments. While the promo was set as a thrilling ride for the audience, it’s the emotional angle which has worked rather well and that’s something bringing in audiences in multiplexes as well as single screens, and that too at big as well as small centres.

When something like that happens then a film is on for a long haul and director Vikas Behl can be pleased with the fact that there would be a lot of build-up that his Shaitaan will enjoy from here. The film had already collected Rs. 62.94 crores and while Rs. 80 crores would be crossed this week itself and a century would be scored within the second weekend, what needs to be seen is where does it land up eventually. As of now, a lifetime in the vicinity of Rs. 150 crores is a possibility which means Shaitaan is already a bit which is moving towards being a super hit at the box office.
