Vijay Varma reveals how his love story with Tamannaah Bhatia began after Lust Stories 2: “I told her I want to hang out more…”

Vijay Varma and Tammanaah Bhatia have been in a relationship for almost a year. The couple have made several public appearances and often talk about each other. But, how did the love story begin? In a recent chat with Tanmay Bhat during Murder Mubarak promotions on Netflix, Vijay recalled texting Tamannaah after wrapping Lust Stories 2.

During the conversation, Vijay said, “Lust Stories was a cupid but it wasn’t during the shoot that we started dating. There was discussion of a wrap party happening but it never happened. So, we wanted to have a wrap party and so only four people showed up… That day I feel like I told her that I want to hang out more with you. Then it took me 20-25 days for the first date to happen after that.”

Vijay Varma and Tammanaah Bhatia were a part of the anthology which premiered in 2023.

Meanwhile, Tamannaah will be seen in several interesting projects this year. The actress has Dating Partners, Odela 2 in Telugu, Vedaa in Hindi and Aranmanai 4 in Tamil.

RRR adapted as Broadway play in Japan; SS Rajamouli receives standing ovation, watch

SS Rajamouli’s epic blockbuster RRR has found resounding success in Japan. The film, which enjoyed a stellar theatrical run in Japan last year, has not only captivated cinema enthusiasts but has also inspired a Broadway adaptation that continues to win hearts across the island nation. Currently, Rajamouli finds himself amidst the fervent appreciation of Japanese fans as he embarked on a special screening tour of the film with his family. Now, he not only announced the Broadway adaptation of the movie, he also shared photos and videos from the rehearsals.

The director took to X, formerly Twitter, to share the news that RRR will get theatre adaption by well-known company named Takarazuka Company. He wrote, “It’s an honour that our RRR has been adapted as a musical by the 110-year-old Takarazuka company. Thank you Japanese audience for embracing the Broadway play of RRR just like the film itself. Overwhelmed by your response… Can’t appreciate all the girls enough for your energy, talent, and meticulousness in the show. ARIGATO GOZAIMASU.”

Farhan Akhtar does not get bored of hearing about demands for Dil Chahta Hai sequel: “I always appreciate that”

Dil Chahta Hai remains a classic. From Goa plans to friendship, it navigated the lives of three men starring Aamir Khan, Akshaye Khanna and Saif Ali Khan. It’s been 23 years since the film was released marking Farhan Akhtar’s foray into cinema as a director and changing the era of content in the industry. However, there have been calls for a sequel and it doesn’t bore Farhan to hear it.

Speaking to Indian Express during Madgaon Express promotions, Farhan Akhtar said, “It doesn’t bore me. Whenever someone asks me that, it feels amazing that people have so much love for the first film that they are asking for the sequel. I always appreciate that, so it can’t bore me ever. But I don’t feel I need to do a Dil Chahta Hai 2. I feel that film has done what it had to do, I said what I had to say. Anything on it now will be trying to add something to a story that doesn’t need any additions.”

“For me films like a Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara to a certain extent the first Rock On, Jee Le Zara — obviously that is still to be made — but they occupy the same kind of emotional space in terms of the stories that are being told that I experienced when I did Dil Chahta Hai. So I have never thought about going back and doing a sequel,” he added.

Meanwhile, Excel Entertainment’s Madgaon Express was released in theatres today. It stars Divyenndu, Pratik Gandhi, Avinash Tiwary and Nora Fatehi among others. It marks the directorial debut of Kunal Kemmu.
