Diljit Dosnajh and Parineeti Chopra starrer Amar Singh Chamkila gets buttery love from Amul topical
The internet can’t stop talking about the new musical drama film, Amar Singh Chamkila, starring Diljit Dosanjh and Parineeti Chopra! Since its recent release on Netflix, the movie has been receiving rave reviews and showers of congratulations from the cast and crew. Now, the buzz around Amar Singh Chamkila has gotten even bigger, thanks to a delightful shout-out from none other than Amul India!
The popular dairy brand is known for its creative topical ads, and they haven’t disappointed with Amar Singh Chamkila. Amul’s official Instagram account recently shared a fun animated picture featuring Diljit Dosanjh and Parineeti Chopra in their characters from the movie. The image shows the duo onstage, belting out a tune while holding slices of buttered bread.
Here’s the catchy tagline that ties it all together: “Ek Chamach Khila, Amul Punjab Da Buttar” (Give a spoonful, Amul’s Punjabi Butter). The caption also playfully acknowledges the film’s success, saying “#Amul Topical: Diljit Dosanjh makes waves in the Imtiaz Ali/AR Rahman hit musical drama, Amar Singh Chamkila!”
Yesterday, Parineeti, after being overwhelmed with the reception, took to social media to express her gratitude. “Currently curled up in my blanket. Overwhelmed with your words, your calls, and the movie reviews. (Tears are not stopping). ‘PARINEETI IS BACK.’ These words are ringing loud. Hadn’t thought of this. Yes, I am back, and not going anywhere,” she wrote in her post.

For the unversed, the film tells the story of Punjab’s original rockstar of the masses, the highest record-selling artist of his time. He emerged from poverty and rose to the heights of popularity in the 80s due to his music, angering many on the way, which finally led to his assassination at the young age of 27.

The Mumbai Crime Branch has apprehended two individuals allegedly involved in the Sunday morning firing incident outside actor Salman Khan’s Bandra West residence. Confirming the arrests, Mumbai Police officials revealed that the accused were apprehended late Monday night in Bhuj, Gujarat.
“Both the accused, who fled Mumbai after the firing, have been arrested from Gujarat’s Bhuj,” the officials told to ANI. The accused will be brought back to Mumbai for further investigation.
The incident, which unfolded early Sunday morning, witnessed two unidentified motorcycle-borne assailants open fire outside Galaxy Apartments, Salman Khan’s residence. The assailants fled the scene after discharging a total of four rounds. One live cartridge was recovered from the site.
The incident sparked immediate action from law enforcement agencies, with the Mumbai Crime Branch initiating an investigation. Preliminary investigation suggests a well-planned attack, as the suspects wore helmets to conceal their identities. Following the incident, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde contacted Salman Khan and Mumbai Police Commissioner. Discussions focused on the actor’s safety, and the Chief Minister recommended enhanced security measures.
Post the incident Anmol Bishnoi, the brother of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, took responsibility for firing outside Salman’s house. In the Facebook post, Anmol said that it was a trailer to show Salman their might and that ‘don’t consider us less. Consider this as “the last warning.”
For the unversed, Salman Khan has been under Y-Plus security cover since November 2022 due to threats received from gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar. He is also authorized to carry a personal firearm and has recently acquired an armored vehicle for additional protection.

In an interview, Salman Khan reminisced about the camaraderie shared among the residents of Galaxy Apartments. The building was not just a collection of separate homes; it was a close-knit community where everyone knew each other. Children played in the garden below, shared meals in each other’s homes, and created memories that would last a lifetime. In a conversation with IANS, Salman once said, “I love staying at my flat in Bandra over a big, luxurious bungalow because my parents live in the flat above mine. Ever since I was a child I have taken the same left turn or right turn and I would not have it any other way.”
“The entire building is like one big family. When we were little, all the kids in the building would play together in the garden below and sometimes even sleep there. Back then, there weren’t different houses, all the houses were treated as our own and we would go into anyone’s house to eat food. I still stay in the same flat because I have countless memories attached to that house,” he added.
For Salman Khan, family is paramount. His parents, Salim and Salma Khan, live just above his flat in Galaxy Apartments. journey from a carefree child to a Bollywood icon.
On the professional front, Salman Khan will be next seen in filmmaker AR Murugadoss’ upcoming venture Sikandar. The film is backed by Sajid Nadiadwala. It will be released in theatres on Eid 2025.

The Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff starrer Bade Miyan Chote Miyan has recorded a dismissal trend at the box office in its opening weekend. According to early estimates, the Ali Abbas Zafar film has collected in the range of Rs. 37.50 crores in its four-day extended opening weekend.
The film opened at Rs. 16.07 crore on Eid and the trajectory since then has been below the mark. BMCM dropped to Rs. 6.5 crores on Friday, followed by Rs. 7.5 crores and Rs. 8.5 crores respectively on Saturday and Sunday. The film is reportedly made on a budget of Rs. 300 crores plus. Bade Miyan Chote Miyan has faced outright rejection from the audiences and critics alike. There is already a fear in the industry for a crash on Monday and the hope is on film to stablize at a certain point and then record a trend, though that looks unlikely.

While her roles have often been quite unconventional, in the recently released action entertainer Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, we see the actress in a more commercial avatar where she is even seen dancing on romantic numbers with her leading man Tiger Shroff. Owing to the love she has been receiving for her role and the film, Alaya decided to pen a heartfelt note on social media along with sharing BTS photos from Jordan, especially from the song ‘Rang Ishq Ka’ with Tiger Shroff.
For the unversed, Tiger Shroff and Alaya F were paired together for the first time in Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, where audiences got a glimpse of their intense chemistry in the song ‘Rang Ishq Ka’. The film features Alaya as an IT specialist and hacker whereas Tiger essays the role of a military officer. Taking to Instagram, Alaya shared a series of photos from the sets of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan while they were shooting for the song Rang Ishq Ka and shared her experience of working with the team, especially Tiger. Bade Miyan Chote Miyan stars Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff in the lead role of agents whereas Manushi Chhillar as the agent and Alaya F as a hacker play the leading ladies.
