To mark Dhawan’s birthday, the makers unveiled a striking new poster featuring the actor in a fierce avatar, sporting long hair and an intense expression. While the poster maintains the “coming soon” release window, rumours have been rife about a potential delay. The film was initially slated for a May 31, 2024 release.

Baby John promises to be a high-octane action flick boasting a stellar cast alongside Dhawan. Keerthy Suresh and Wamiqa Gabbi will play pivotal roles, with Jackie Shroff also included in the ensemble.

According to Peeping Moon, despite filming since August 2023 and completing over 75 days of shooting, the film required an additional 10-12 days of production. This unforeseen delay pushed back the release date, with the makers now targeting a debut sometime in June or July 2024. Extensive post-production work necessitated the shift, ensuring the film met the audience’s expectations.

Produced by Atlee and Priya Atlee’s A For Apple Studios, along with Murad Khetani’s Cine1 Studios and Jyoti Deshpande for Jio Studios, Baby John promises to be an action-packed spectacle.

Zeenat Aman says she broke her mother’s heart when she eloped with Amanullah Khan: “But it mended with the birth of my first son”

Veteran actress Zeenat Aman has always been known for her grace and candour. Recently, she took to social media to share glimpses of her life, specifically focusing on the incredible woman who raised her – her mother, Scinda Heinz.

Zeenat Aman says she broke her mother’s heart when she eloped with Amanullah Khan “But it mended with the birth of my first son”

In a heartfelt post, Aman uploaded two photographs of her late mother. Scinda Heinz, according to Zeenat, was an exceptional woman who served as her ‘safe harbour.’ Zeenat further described her mother as ‘a woman ahead of the curve,’ highlighting her progressive nature. The post delved deeper into their relationship, showcasing both cherished moments and past challenges. Zeenat acknowledged her mother’s unwavering support when she decided to pursue a career in acting. Scinda even gave up her own work to become Zeenat’s manager, ardently negotiating contracts and ensuring her daughter’s success. “When I made up my mind to pursue a career in acting, she gave up her own work to be my manager. She negotiated my contracts, invested my earnings, packed my tiffins, ran my lines, inspired my style, and bolstered my confidence to the nth degree. All this while maintaining her own exciting social life within the expat community in Mumbai,” she wrote on Instagram on Tuesday.

Zeenat’s post also offered a glimpse into her family history. One of the shared photographs featured Scinda Heinz with Zeenat’s biological father, Amanullah Khan. Their eventual separation led Scinda to find love again, marrying a kind German gentleman whom Zeenat fondly referred to as Uncle Heinz. The caption further revealed a more vulnerable side to their relationship. Zeenat confessed to breaking her mother’s heart when she eloped with her husband, Mazhar Khan, in 1985. “Mummy never thought any man was worthy of me (she was onto something there), and it was the only matter that we ever locked horns on. Even then, if I were ever low, I would crawl into her bed in our apartment off Nepean Sea Road, lay by her side and hold her hand. No words would be spoken, but my turmoil would settle and I would feel secure,” she wrote.

Zeenat further said, “It’s true that I broke her heart a little when I eloped, but it mended with the birth of my first son, who shares a birthday with her,” she added.

Shah Rukh Khan to play a raw and ruthless Don in action-thriller King: Report

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan is gearing up to play a gritty don in his upcoming film, King, which promises to be a raw and rustic action-thriller. With this film, his daughter Suhana Khan will make her silver screen debut after OTT debut in The Archies last December. Khan won’t just be a powerful underworld figure; he’ll also have a complex moral compass, with “shades of grey” that will intrigue audiences.

Shah Rukh Khan to play a raw and ruthless Don in action-thriller King Report

According to a report in Pinkvilla, a source revealed that Khan will play an intriguing role, which is a clear nod to his past characters with darker sides, like his iconic roles in Darr, Anjaam, and Raees. “Shah Rukh Khan is making films for the audience and is well aware of their urge to see him in shades of grey. King is his passion project and he has been meticulously working on all aspects of the project with Siddharth Anand and Sujoy Ghosh. They have collectively carved a very cool, full of attitude and swag character with shades of grey for SRK in King,” said the source.

King is reportedly a passion project for Khan, and he’s been heavily involved in its development. He’s working closely with directors Siddharth Anand and Sujoy Ghosh to craft a character that’s both cool and ruthless.  The source revealed, “While the character designing is already done, Siddharth Anand is presently working on the action blocks with international stunt teams. Sujoy, on the other hand, is getting the dialogue draft ready, whereas SRK is overseeing the creative process and training with Suhana on some new-age action sequences.”

But the surprises don’t stop there. The source also hinted at a new look for Khan in the film. He’ll be sporting long hair and a beard, a departure from his usual clean-cut persona. While details about the plot are still under wraps, the report does say that King will be a fast-paced action thriller that tests the limits of survival. SRK will play the mentor, guiding a disciple through a dangerous world.  This disciple will be played by none other than Suhana Khan.

Over a week ago, Bollywood Hungama reported that Shah Rukh Khan himself is overseeing the creative process and even training with Suhana for some of the film’s action sequences. Sujoy Ghosh and Siddharth Anand are planning to make a raw and rustic action film, King, on a mega budget of Rs. 200 crores. “King is an ambitious action film, unlike anyone’s imagination. The team has been working on the pre-production for the last one year to ensure that all aspects are covered in the right way – from script, to scale and action. Red Chillies Entertainment has always mounted world-class products and King will be no different as the banner is going all out to ensure a grand debut for Suhana Khan,” a source told Bollywood Hungama.

The source further informed that Siddharth Anand is in talks with stunt directors from the West to come on board King. “Siddharth Anand thinks internationally, and with SRK, he wants to make a global action thriller. He is designing stunts with the stunt experts from the West, and plans to shoot it as a hybrid of real action and VFX enhancements,” the source told us further.

King will be shot from May over 5 months and hit the big screen in the 2nd half of 2025.
