THE ALLURING CAST

The series marks a significant milestone for Wi Ha Joon, a rising star known for his intense performances in thrillers like Little Women, Squid Game, and The Worst Of Evil. Having established himself as a powerful actor in his 30s, Wi Ha Joon finally takes the lead role in this drama. Partnering with him is the ever-talented Jung Ryeo Won, whose K-dramas like Wok of Love, Witch at Court, and Medical Top have garnered her a loyal fan base. The age gap between the characters, played by Jung Ryeo Won and Wi Ha Joon, is a key element of the storyline, adding another layer of intrigue to their blossoming romance.

However, beneath the surface of her professional achievements lies a nagging uncertainty about her own future. Enter Lee Joon Ho (played by Wi Ha Joon), a name that instantly ignites a spark within Seo. Lee was once a student under Seo’s wing, a bright but quirky individual who, with her unwavering guidance, managed to secure a coveted spot at a top university. This success not only cemented Seo’s reputation as a star instructor but also left a profound mark on Lee.

Ranveer Singh starrer Don 3 sets sight on international locations for filming; to shoot in London and Germany: Report

The highly anticipated Don 3 is gearing up for production, with Ranveer Singh stepping into the iconic role of the charismatic criminal mastermind.  This news, announced last year by director Farhan Akhtar, got the fans and industry talking, sparking both excitement and debate. While details surrounding the film have remained tightly under wraps, recent reports have shed some light on the production schedule and filming locations.

According to Dainik Bhaskar, the shoot is expected to commence later this year, aiming for a swift four-month turnaround. Interestingly, the report suggests a significant international focus, with Farhan Akhtar currently scouting locations in London and Germany. “A few days ago, Farhan Akhtar reached London with the core team to finalize shooting locations for Don 3,” the report stated. “Apart from London, the production team will also be heading to Germany. It’s possible that filming might extend to other German cities as well.”

Adding to the intrigue, sources close to the production revealed a potential filming window between “after August this year and wrapping it up by December.” While official confirmation from Farhan Akhtar and the team is awaited, these reports have certainly piqued the interest of fans.

The decision to cast Ranveer Singh as the successor to Shah Rukh Khan’s portrayal of Don has been a source of much discussion. To announce the new direction for the franchise, Farhan released a captivating teaser featuring Ranveer’s voice delivering a powerful dialogue, “Sher jo so raha hain woh jagega kab, puchte hai yeh sab. Unse keh do phir jaag utha hoon main, aur phir samne jald aane ko… (Everyone asks when the sleeping lion will wake up. Tell them I have awakened, and I’ll be back soon).” This announcement divided social media, with some fans eager to see Ranveer take on the role, while others expressed a sense of nostalgia for Shah Rukh Khan’s iconic performance in the past two films.

In an interview with BBC Asian Network, Farhan Akhtar had said last year, “I’m just really looking forward to get it going. I mean Ranveer is amazing. He’s great for the part. He’s also, as you can imagine, really excited and really nervous. You know about the thing that you’re filling some big shoes. But we went through the same emotional process when Shah Rukh Khan did it and everyone was like, ‘Oh my God, how can you replace Mr. Bachchan?’ That whole thing happened then. And it really is about an actor coming in and owning the part and making it, really like giving it their style and their flair and he has that. He has that in spades. So he’s gonna do that. Yeah. So he’s gonna do a great job. I think the responsibility is more of mine now to make sure that the script of the film works out the way I imagined.”

He added, “The filming for Don (3) starts in 2025. We start in January of 2025. So there’s some time away.” When asked what makes a good Don, he said, “Self-confidence, flamboyance and the belief and the ability to do anything that your mind is set on.”

Produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under their banner Excel Entertainment, Don 3 is slated for a 2025 release. The leading lady opposite Ranveer Singh will be the talented Kiara Advani.

Shah Rukh Khan says IPL goes beyond winning; highest point is to give young cricketers opportunities to play: “At least 250-300 kids get that chance”

Shah Rukh Khan, the undisputed king of Bollywood, wears many hats. Beyond the glitz and glamour of the silver screen, he’s a passionate cricket enthusiast and the owner of the successful IPL franchise, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). In a recent interview with Star Sports, Khan revealed that for him, the most rewarding aspect of the IPL isn’t just about winning trophies, but the platform it provides to young Indian cricketers.

The IPL, which began in 2008, revolutionized the sport in India. Khan, recognizing this potential, jumped on board and established KKR as a major force in the league. Beyond the team’s success, though, his focus remains on the bigger picture: empowering young talent.

“Someone had once told me that there was a time in our country when out of 100 crore people, only 11 men get the opportunity to play cricket,” Khan said, highlighting the crucial role the league plays in nurturing raw talent. “Because of IPL, at least 250-300 kids get that chance, including girls. At that level, where so many youngsters get that chance… Our team has such players. I have seen youngsters like Rinku (Singh), Sanju Samson, Mohammed Shami and so many others,” he added.

Khan’s philosophy with KKR reflects this vision. The franchise is known for its focus on young players. Over the years, KKR has unearthed gems like Pat Cummins, Sunil Narine, and Shreyas Iyer, who have not only propelled the team to victory but also become household names in Indian cricket. Shah Rukh Khan said that the ‘highest point’ of IPL has been to give youngest players an opportunity. “Maybe it will be giving oneself too much importance if I say ‘opportunity’, but if they get a chance, they become what they were destined to become,” he said.

However, Khan emphasized that the IPL isn’t just about creating stars. It’s about fostering a love for the game, a sense of camaraderie, and a competitive spirit. The interview was aired on the day Kolkata Knight Riders beat Mumbai Indians on Friday after 12 years in Wakhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Mr & Mrs Mahi marks Janhvi’s exciting venture into the realm of sports drama, where she portrays a cricketer. BTS’ RM embraces freedom in two sets of concept photos from second solo album Right Place, Wrong Person

RM of BTS unveiled two initial sets of concept photos that offer a glimpse into his highly-anticipated second solo album Right Place, Wrong Person, slated for May 24. The first two sets of concept photos for the new album were released on May 1 and 3, respectively, via BTS’ official social media channels. The photos capture the person Kim Namjoon (RM’s given name) as an ordinary individual in relatable, everyday settings, enjoying moments of freedom—a departure from the glamorous persona he embodies on stage.

The first set of concept photos was crafted under the artistic direction of renowned Hong Kong-based photographer Wing Shya, best known for her work on the poster for Wong Kar-Wai’s film Happy Together (1997). RM and Wing Shya first crossed paths during a magazine shoot last year, which paved the way for their second collaboration for RM’s newest project. Wing Shya’s interpretation of the album employs unique lighting, contrast, and unconventional angles to amplify RM’s distinct vibe. His direct gaze into the camera within a confined setting, devoid of any props, accentuates the album’s raw and honest presentation of his distinctive sensibility, aesthetics, and beliefs.

The second set of concept photos features RM in familiar settings in Tokyo, Japan, capturing mundane moments in a natural and candid way. Collaborating with Takahiro Mizushima, known for his unique artistic vision, RM’s approachable demeanour inspired the photographer to portray RM through the lens of friendship to showcase his authentic self. Delving into his creative process, Takahiro Mizushima shared he “decided to set the photoshoot in his hometown, believing it would evoke RM’s genuine expressions”.

With another set of concept photos set to be released on May 17, BIGHIT MUSIC stated that “the three sets of concept photos were shot in three different countries by three respective photographers. The intriguing aspect of these photos is seeing how each photographer individually interprets the name and message of Right Place, Wrong Person”.

RM’s second solo album, which explores relatable sensations and moments of feeling like a stranger, out of place, drops on May 24 at 1 PM KST. A pre-release track ‘Come back to me‘ will be unveiled prior to the album on May 10.

Right Place, Wrong Person includes 11 tracks infused with alternative music and rich sounds for all of which RM contributed to the writing of the lyrics. The new album is set to showcase his artistic prowess and stands as a testament to his authenticity and a celebration of his artistic integrity.

Released in 2023, Satyaprem Ki Katha starred Kartik Aaryan as Satyaprem, a middle-class man with dreams of finding love and success, and Kiara Advani as Katha, a free-spirited young woman trying to move on from a past heartbreak.
