For the unversed, Preity Zinta made her Hindi film debut in the film Dil Se… which featured Manisha Koirala and Shah Rukh Khan in lead roles. The actress recalled the time when she was shooting with the actress for her first film and also expressed gratitude about how Koirala made her feel extremely comfortable. In the note, Preity said, “I love you Manisha (hearts and fire emojis) I saw the show for you & you killed it (clap emojis) You are such a powerhouse of talent & an even better human being. I will never forget how lovely, welcoming & generous you were to me in Dil Se (heart-eye emoji) Thanks to you I started my film journey on such a positive note. You never made me feel I was working with a superstar & nurtured me on the shoot – always smiling, accommodating & ready for rehearsal & suggestions. You will always be Hero on & off camera. More power to you always”.

Meanwhile, Manisha Koirala had described her experience of shooting the fountain scene and had said, “The fountain sequence proved the most physically challenging. It required me to be immersed in a water fountain for over 12 hours. That tested my resilience! Even though Sanjay had thoughtfully ensured that the water was warm and clean, over the hours, the water turned muddy, (because my team members, the Cinematographer, and the art director’s team were getting into the water to work around the scene.) Every single pore in my body was soaked in that muddy water. Even though I was beyond exhaustion by the end of the shoot, I felt a deep happiness within my heart. My body had taken the stress and remained resilient. I knew I had passed a critical physical test.”

In a PTI report, the 56-year-old actor expressed his enthusiasm for the evolving landscape of Indian cinema. “I feel there is a lot left in Ashutosh Rana. The actor in Ashutosh Rana is like a child who has just started walking and is taking baby steps. There is a lot to come. Why I think this way is because I started with films which were called off-beat cinema and that have become mainstream cinema now.”

He further added, “For the actors like me, it is a golden period.” Elaborating on the same, he asserted, “I hope to get lots of work and play different characters. I want to play Chanakya on screen, Raavan, Vivekanand and Krishna. There are so many characters who are engraved in our minds like Gabbar (from Sholay).”

After Hugh Grant and Asif Kapadia, Hrithik Roshan slams Apple’s “Crush” ad; calls it “Sad and ignorant”

Apple’s latest advertisement, titled “Crush,” has sparked a debate online, attracting criticism from celebrities and the public alike. Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan recently added his voice to the growing discontent, calling the ad “sad and ignorant” on his Instagram stories.

After Hugh Grant and Asif Kapadia, Hrithik Roshan slams Apple's "Crush" ad; calls it "Sad and ignorant"

The commercial features a hydraulic press crushing various creative tools like musical instruments, paint cans, and gaming consoles. While Apple intended to showcase the thinness and power of the new iPad by contrasting it with bulkier creative devices, the message backfired.

Hrithik Roshan joins British actor Hugh Grant and filmmaker Asif Kapadia who previously expressed disapproval of the ad. Grant called it “The destruction of the human experience. Courtesy of Silicon Valley,” while Kapadia criticized it for symbolizing how “tech companies squeeze” artists.

The ad, launched by Apple CEO Tim Cook earlier this month, aimed to highlight the iPhone’s processing power and sleek design. However, the focus on crushing creative tools left many viewers feeling that the ad disrespected artistic expression and traditional creative methods. Following the negative reception, Apple reportedly decided to pull the commercial from television airing.

Coming back to Hrithik, on the professional front, he was last seen in Fighter, a Siddharth Anand directorial. Co-starring Deepika Padukone, it was released this year in January. Now, he is busy with shooting his next War 2. Helmed by Ayan Mukerji, it will be the sixth installment of YRF’s Spy Universe followed by Pathaan, Tiger 3, War, Tiger Zinda Hai, and Ek Tha Tiger. The upcoming film will also star Kiara Advani and Jr NTR.
