It was a picture-perfect frame at the grand wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant as the Bachchan family came together to celebrate their union. The event was a star-studded affair, with celebrities from the Indian film industry and dignitaries from all over the world in attendance.

The Bachchan Family Arrives At Anand-Radhika Wedding

Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, and Abhishek Bachchan were among those who posed for a family picture, but notably absent was Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. She chose to get clicked with her daughter Aaradhya instead. In the video, Amitabh Bachchan is seen leading the family as he walks to the designated picture area to pose, with Jaya Bachchan joining him. The iconic couple posed briefly for the paparazzi before the rest of the family joined them.

Their son Abhishek Bachchan, daughter Shweta Nanda, her businessman husband Nikhil Nanda, and their children, Navya Naveli Nanda and The Archies star Agastya Nanda, completed the grand family picture. However, the absence of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the family photo did not go unnoticed by netizens.

Later, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan arrived at the photo area with her daughter Aaradhya Bachchan. In a heartwarming moment, Aishwarya, a red carpet veteran, was seen guiding her 12-year-old daughter on where to look as the media clicked them. Aaradhya then exited the frame, allowing her mother to pose solo for the photographers.

Before her red carpet appearance, Aishwarya was filmed meeting Rekha, who greeted her warmly and even kissed Aaradhya. The two actors talked briefly before Aishwarya made her way to the red carpet.

The viral clips also showcased Anant and Radhika exchanging garlands in a beautiful ceremony. Radhika looked resplendent in a stunning lehenga by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla, while Anant donned a red and pink sherwani. The celebrations are spread across multiple days, with the wedding ceremony taking place at Jio World Convention Centre. The upcoming days will see grand events like Shubh Aashirwad and a star-studded reception.

In fact, Shah Rukh Khan seems to be missing in the recent celebrations considering that the superstar shares a great bond with the Ambani family. The superstar, however, decided to put his other commitments on hold as he arrived in Mumbai on Friday morning to attend the wedding. Along with him, joining the celebrations was also superstar Salman Khan.

Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan turned baaratis while Anant Ambani arrived at the venue and the two actors shared a sweet moment with the groom’s parents. Amid all the dancing and music of the baaratis, the Khans too joined in as they both danced on their iconic song ‘Bhangra Pa Le’. The song was originally picturized on them as they both starred in the role of siblings in the reincarnation action-drama Karan Arjun, which also starred Amrish Puri, Rakhee, Mamta Kulkarni, and Kajol in key roles.

Shah Rukh Khan arrived at the venue with his wife Gauri. However, the couple’s children Aryan Khan and Suhana Khan were also a part of the celebrations. Salman Khan too made a dashing red carpet entry along with sister Arpita Khan.

Meanwhile, speaking of the high-profile wedding, the main ceremony will be held on July 12. Anant Ambani will be tying the knot with his childhood sweetheart Radhika Merchant in a traditional Gujarati ceremony at Jio World Drive, BKC. The couple will also be hosting a Shubh Aashirwad function on July 13, followed by Mangal Utsav and reception, which will be held on July 14. Many Indian and even International celebrities are a part of the wedding festivities.

22 years of Devdas EXCLUSIVE: Sanjay Leela Bhansali didn’t lose his cool despite this actress needing retakes: “It was a little complex shot”

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Devdas (2002) remains one of his most iconic works. Based on the story by the late celebrated author Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay, the movie starred Shah Rukh Khan in the titular role while Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Madhuri Dixit played Paro and Chandramukhi respectively. The film became a runaway success and swept most of the awards that year.

Devdas was also one of the earliest films for actress Nehha Pendse, who was a teenager back then. She played the character of Chaurangi, one of the girls in Chandramukhi’s palace.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali is known to be a strict taskmaster. There are also stories about his anger. However, Nehha’s experience of working with him was exactly the opposite. She revealed this while recalling an incident during the film’s shoot in an exclusive chat with Bollywood Hungama.

“This is also what I heard (that Bhansali is a strict taskmaster). But my experience of him, not just with me but my observation of him during Devdas was very different. He was the coolest and extremely patient,” she said.

Nehha recalled an interesting incident during a scene she shot. “In fact, I remember one incident very clearly,” she said. “It was a little complex shot between me, Madhuri and others where retakes were happening because of me. It was because I wasn’t doing my part correctly. But he was so patient! Not one set of anger, nothing whatsoever. I was feeling guilty for taking retakes, but he was so chilled. Of course, I was a child. He took care of me.”

Nehha added, “So, I, honestly, have a very different experience of him. I am a little surprised when I hear all these stories of him losing his cool. My personal experience, not just with me but, like I said, being on the set in general (with him) has been very nice, beautiful and memorable.”

Nehha has always been a die-hard fan of Shah Rukh Khan, even when she was shooting Devdas. There was also a moment in the film where she shared the screen with SRK. However, she couldn’t speak to him due to an unusual reason.

“If I have to be very honest, I was a 15-16-year-old very shy girl,” she said. “He is the most courteous man ever. He is going to wish good mornings and good nights to everyone who comes in his eyesight. He makes you feel comfortable, happy, everything. I was so shy that I didn’t even have the courage to wish him good night back. I just used to smile and look down because dil mein laddoo phoot te the (I was all excited from inside).”

Nehha added that she hasn’t got a chance to meet SRK again. But if she does, she won’t let the opportunity go by abegging.
