The video features a candid exchange between Kapil, Sunil, and Gurudev, where the topic of conflict and friendship was brought up. Sunil’s humorous question about avoiding conflicts between friends, an apparent reference to his past disagreement with Kapil, left the audience in splits.

He asked, “Gurudev, I have a question to ask. When two friends, who love each other a lot, have a conflict, how do they make sure to patch up without having a gap of six years or avoid such a situation?”

Uorfi Javed calls Malaika Arora’s series “Very bad” ahead of Follow Kar Lo Yaar’s release on Prime Video; says, “You could feel it and as an audience, I could see..”

Social media sensation Uorfi Javed has not shied away from expressing her opinions, and her latest target is Malaika Arora’s reality show, Moving In With Malaika. In a recent interview, Uorfi openly criticised the show, stating it lacked authenticity. According to her, the show failed to provide genuine insights into Malaika’s life, as the actress seemed hesitant to share personal details. 

Uorfi Javed Critiques Malaika Arora’s Reality Show

Uorfi suggested that Malaika’s reluctance to fully open up might be attributed to her current stage in life. She explained that while it’s understandable to maintain privacy, a reality show requires a certain level of openness to connect with the audience.

In a chat with Fever FM, the former Bigg Boss OTT contestant called the show “very bad” and said, “Maybe because Malaika did not want to give 100% access to her life, which is acceptable and completely justified. Woh jiss stage par hain ya abhi jaise chal raha hain, unko nahi dena hoga 100% access.” She further added, “You could feel it and as an audience, I could see that kuch cheezein chupa rahe hain. Sab nahin bata rahe hain.” 

In contrast, Uorfi praised another reality show, The Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives, for its entertaining and engaging content.

For the unversed, Malaika’s series, Moving In With Malaika, premiered on Disney+Hotstar in 2022. It was based on her personal and professional life. Several Bollywood celebs such as Kareena Kapoor Khan, Karan Johar, Arjun Kapoor, Amrita Arora, Nora Fatehi, Neha Dhupia, Terence Lewis, and Farah Khan, among others, were seen in the show. 

Details of Uorfi’s Upcoming Reality Show

Meanwhile, Uorfi is gearing up for the launch of her own reality show, Follow Kar Lo Yaar, which is set to premiere on August 23, 2024, on Prime Video. The show promises to offer a glimpse into Uorfi’s life, challenges, and ambitions.

In a recent chat on Unfiltered by Samdish YouTube channel, Arshad shared his thoughts on the film, stating that he found it underwhelming. While he praised Amitabh Bachchan’s performance, he expressed his confusion over Prabhas’ characterization. Warsi expressed his desire to see a more gritty and intense portrayal of the protagonist, similar to iconic characters like Mad Max.

In his words: “Meine Kalki 2898 AD, jo mujhe achi nahin lagi. Amit Ji (Bachchan) was unbelievable! I cannot believe it.” While talking about Prabhas he said, “I am really sad but, why was he was like a joker? Why? I want to see a Mad Max yaar, I want to see Mel Gibson over there. What have you made it. Why do filmmakers do this, I will never understand.” 

Appreciation for Rajkummar Rao

Despite his critique of Kalki 2898 AD, Arshad was quick to acknowledge the exceptional performances in other projects. He lauded Rajkummar Rao’s Srikant, calling it outstanding. He also praised Sharvari Wagh and Abhay Verma’s performances in Munjya and Lakshay Lalwani’s debut film Kill.

Upcoming Projects

On the work front, Arshad Warsi is currently gearing up for the release of Jolly LLB 3, where he will reprise his iconic role alongside Akshay Kumar. He also has the comedy film Welcome To The Jungle in the pipeline, which boasts a star-studded cast.

Box Office Estimate: Khel Khel Mein jumps by 50% on Saturday, whereas Vedaa stays flat

The Akshay Kumar and Taapsee Pannu Film, Khel Khel Mein is showing a 50% jump in collections on Saturday with estimates suggesting collections in the range of Rs. 3.25 crores. With this, the three-day total of Khel Khel Mein stands at Rs. 11.00 crores.

The upward swing of Khel Khel Mein might paint a good picture but the overall numbers are still abysmal. The 4-day weekend of Khel Khel Mein will be around Rs. 15 crores.

The second release of the week, Vedaa is an even bigger failure. According to estimates, the John Abraham film has collected Rs. 2.25 crores on Saturday, taking total collections to Rs. 10.50 crores.

The film has not been appreciated and that’s visible in the trend too, until and unless some magic happens on Sunday & Monday!

Imtiaz Ali reveals he had thought of casting Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in Highway; reveals how he signed Alia Bhatt for the coveted role

Alia Bhatt had a decent debut with Student Of The Year (2012) but she got accepted as a fine performer with her second film Highway (2014), directed by Imtiaz Ali. During an interaction with Mayank Shekhar of Mid-Day, the acclaimed director revealed how Alia was not the first choice and that the character of Veera was of a different age.

Imtiaz said that he was looking to cast a woman in her 30s and that he was looking to cast “Aishwarya Rai, without the make-up, maybe. It was that kinda film.”

He explained how he changed his mind, “I met Alia at the screening of Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana (2012). Alia’s film had been released by then but I had not seen it. I started talking to her and realized that there’s a lot of warmth in her and her emotional quotient was high.”

He continued, “I stirred the conversation towards Highway. I started talking to her about home, society etc. I started to then hear her true voice. This is the voice that doesn’t change that much with age.”

He also said, “I wanted to cast a woman in her 30s who was more mature and who had had experiences in life that she was going to talk about in the film. But after meeting her, I realized that this is the emotional depth I was looking for.”

Imtiaz Ali added, “I gave her the 20-30 pager script. It was written like a novella. She didn’t call me for a day. Later, I realized that she was actually hesitant. I asked her if she liked it. She said, ‘I loved it’. The way she said ‘loved’ had a very hard feeling to it. When I asked her if she would do it, she replied, ‘Can we talk about it?’. This usually means that the actor doesn’t want to do it.”

But Imtiaz decided to speak to her, “I went to her house. Bhatt saab (father Mahesh Bhatt) told her, ‘You should do it. He’s a nice director (smiles)’!”

He also explained, “She was hesitant as she was not sure if she’d be able to do whatever was written in the script. She said, ‘There’s no scene in which I am not there’. I assured her not to worry.”
