Bob Saget brought laughter to millions as the original host of America's Funniest Home Videos from 1989-1997. Now, those who've since taken to hosting the program in the years since are honoring the one who started it all. Alfonso Ribeiro, the current host of AFV (as it's now called), was among the many celebrities paying tribute to Saget in the hours after his death was announced.
After spending several years playing Bob Saget's daughter both as a child and as an adult, Jodie Sweetin has posted a very touching tribute to the late comedian. In Full House and its spinoff Fuller House, Saget played family patriarch Danny Tanner with Sweetin co-starring as middle child Stephanie. In addition to their relationship as television relatives, they were also very good friends, and Saget's death has left Sweetin in mourning.

The 79th Annual Golden Globes was a subdued affair as COVID-19 surges forced the awards season's events to be either canceled or postponed, including the Critics Choice Award, the AFI Awards, the BAFTA Tea Party and the Palm Springs International Film Festival’s awards gala. Another New Year has come and gone, which means another season of Cobra Kai to bring good tidings to us all. The Karate Kid spin-off has energized fans of the original film series and brought in new fans with its fantastic storytelling and ability to keep you hitting "next episode" for 6 hours straight. Because Bob Saget was such a beloved comedian, his passing has left many feeling saddened. Among those feeling especially heartbroken are his longtime friends he'd spent years working with on Full House and its spinoff series Fuller House. John Stamos, who played Uncle Jesse on the series, expressed how "gutted" he felt by the news with a post to Twitter. This clearly hit very hard for Stamos who has stayed very close with Saget ever since their Full House days.
