Young Spider-Man Fan Becomes Real Wall Crawler Thanks To Dad's Photoshop
One youngSpider-Manfan recently got a treat, as his dad used photoshop to make it look like he was actually climbing the walls in his home. Spider-Man, while always a popular comics character, has seen a resurgence in recent years. A key moment came when Tom Holland was cast as the webslinger in Captain America: Civil War, taking over the role from Andrew Garfield. Fans and critics alike praised Holland's performance, which also marked Spider-Man's first time in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Thanks to a deal with Sony, Holland has also starred in two acclaimed solo films, with a third one on the way. He'll also return for at least one more appearance in the MCU, thanks to a new agreement between the two studios.
Spider-Man fans were also recently impressed by Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, an animated take on the Miles Morales Spider-Man. Both its animation style and storytelling were celebrated, with the movie even winning the Oscar for Best Animated Feature Film. Though Miles is the movie's protagonist, it also features several other Spider-characters, including Peter B. Parker, Gwen Stacy, and Spider-Man Noir. There's already a sequel set for 2022, with a female-led spinoff in the works as well. That movie will feature Gwen, as well as Cindy Moon/Silk and Jessica Drew/Spider-Woman. Unfortunately, star Hailee Steinfeld said recently she hasn't been updated on the project in awhile.

Considering the popularity of Spider-Man right now, it makes sense kids want to look like the famed webslinger. This week, Twitter user Positive Jerry shared two photos of his son dressed as Spider-Man. However, there was a fun twist, as he explained he held his son up in different positions and then used photoshop to take himself out of the pictures. As a result, his son appears to be actually climbing on the wall and ceiling:
The real-life wall crawler looks to be wearing the Miles Morales version of a Spider-Man costume, featuring the darker suit with red accents. In many ways, Miles is the Spider-Man for a younger generation, with Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse a great way to introduce kids to the character. It also helps that it stood on its own, without needing the background knowledge most superhero films require these days. As the very first animated Spider-Man feature film, it makes sense Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse continues to resonate with fans over a year after its release.
This is also the sort of heartwarming story many need right now, which explains why the photos have blown up on Twitter. Some people commenting even joked he surely had to be the real Spider-Man, as the pictures looked too realistic. All told, one dad's photoshop skills not only made his kid happy, but also managed to impress the collective Twitter-verse.
