An actor who portrayed one of the most memorable zombies from The Walking Dead has passed away. Moses Moseley, who played one of Michonne's "pet walkers," was reportedly found dead in the Hudson Bridge area of Stockbridge, Georgia, where the bridge covers a freeway. Per TMZ, police are currently investigating Moseley's death as a possible suicide. He was 31 years old.

Discovery+ has announced its plan to launch a Black Voices hub that will spotlight the African American community. The hub will include two new originals: docuseries Profiled: The Black Man, featuring commentary from celebrities like Billy Porter and Tina Knowles-Lawson, and Uprooted, a true-crime doc about the hanging of Black teen Keith Warren in 1986.
When Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland was announced, some fans believed that the film would bring a darker vision of Wonderland to life — similar to the classic video game American McGee's Alice. While the film was not a bright and happy affair, it was a long way from the disturbing story that was told across the game, its sequel Alice: Madness Returns and the in-development third installment Alice: Asylum. Now it looks like the haunting and murderous vision of Wonderland will be coming to the small screen in a new TV adaptation with X-Men writer David Hayter on board as showrunner.
The new Party Down is rounding out its cast. In development at Starz, the show will bring back several lead actors from the original cast members, including Adam Scott, Ken Marino, Jane Lynch, Martin Starr, Ryan Hansen, and Megan Mullaly. Per Variety, they’ve been joined by new cast members Jennifer Garner (Alias, Dallas Buyers Club), James Marsden (Sonic the Hedgehog, Westworld), Zoë Chao (Love Life, The Afterparty), and Tyrel Jackson Williams (Brockmire, Thunder Force) as series regulars.
We've seen a lot of risqué content on HBO programming over the years, but they weren't at all interested in airing Jackass when the series was first pitched to the premium cabler over two decades ago. In a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter detailing the history of the franchise, the stars of Jackass opened up about how the original TV show came to be. Featuring the same gross-out humor and dangerous stunts it's now widely known for, the pitch was first delivered to HBO execs who were utterly appalled. As co-creator Jeff Tremaine explains:
More sad news is coming in as Extra correspondent Cheslie Kryst has reportedly died. Per The Hollywood Reporter, Kryst was found dead at 7:05 a.m. on Sunday morning on the sidewalk outside of the Orion Condominium building in Manhattan where she'd been living. The New York Police Department has ruled her passing a suicide and it is believed she willingly jumped from several stories up to her death. She was 30 years old.
The live-action Halo series officially has a release date. Hours ahead of the release of a new trailer for the series, the official Halo account tweeted a video ad promoting the full trailer's launch. While including some snippets of the show, a narrator also announces in the video that Halo will premiere on Paramount+ on March 24, 2022. You can watch the official announcement below.
Veteran actor Howard Hesseman has passed away. Per Variety, the prolific character actor, who's best known for his role on the classic series WKRP in Cincinnati, died on Saturday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center Los Angeles due to complications from colon surgery he'd undergone last summer. The actor was 81 years old.
Comedian John Mulaney will be joining the Saturday Night Live Five-Timers Club in February. Per TVLine, Mulaney is scheduled to return as host for the long-running sketch comedy series on its Feb. 26 episode. LCD Soundsystem also returns as the musical guest after a previous appearance in 2017.

Spider-Man: No Way Home featured an unexpected cameo from Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock, better known as Daredevil in the Netflix series. Thanks to that appearance, the now-canceled series has been gaining a whole new audience on the streaming platform and managed to break into Nielsen’s Top 10 U.S. streaming chart of original series for the week following the new MCU’s release in cinemas. During the week beginning December 20th, the 39 episodes of the series pulled in 195 million minutes between them, and the new surge in popularity didn’t go unnoticed by those involved in the show.

Fans of Masters of the Universe still haven’t gotten the new live-action movie that they have been promised for the last decade. King is no stranger to TV adaptations, and recently he has seen great success with The Outsider, Castle Rock and Chapelwait. Blumhouse are already dipping their fingers in the King pie with upcoming movie adaptations such as Firestarter and Christine just two of the titles in production based on the legendary author’s work.

Along with that news came word that William Petersen would not be returning as Gil Grissom in season 2, as he only signed on to star in one season of the revival. Fox has now announced that she won't be coming back either, as she can't fathom seeing Sara and Gil separated once again.
The Da Vinci Code was the second highest-grossing movie of 2006, based on the equally successful book by Dan Brown and starring Tom Hanks in the lead role of Robert Langdon. While the film produced the sequels of Angels & Demons and Inferno, they both massively underperformed at the box office, killing off the chance of a fourth movie. However, a Peacock-produced series based on Brown’s novel The Lost Symbol arrived last year, giving the character of Robert Langdon another shot. Still, it seems that too has now been buried in the past with the series being canceled after just one season.
Abbott Elementary has truly taken ABC by storm, being the network’s first comedy premiere to quadruple ratings since its original airing, according to Deadline. The show aired back in December, earning a 0.6 rating in the 18-49 demo with 2.79 million viewers. However, after 35 days of viewing across ABC’s linear and digital platforms, the series premiere shot up 300% in the demo for a 2.4 rating and a total of 7.1 million viewers. Per ABC, Abbott’s opening marked the largest percentage growth for any new comedy premiere.
The popular Netflix series Maid is based on the true story of author Stephanie Land, who wrote the memoir Maid: Hard Work, Low Pay, and a Mother's Will to Survive. Created by Molly Smith Metzler, who is known for Shameless and Orange Is the New Black, was inspired by Land's memoir about being a young mother who escapes an abusive relationship with only a couple of hundred dollars to her name. She simply couldn't find work in America's depressed economy, and because she couldn't find work, a grant for childcare was also not available to a survivor of domestic abuse. Released in 2019, Land's memoir is the basis for the critically-acclaimed Netflix miniseries Maid, starring Margaret Qualley as the struggling mother who is running away from her abusive boyfriend.

While there have been rumblings of the series making headlines for months, Disney+ has just officially revealed in a new video that they've given a series order to Percy Jackson and the Olympians with plans to start production this summer. Disney’s upcoming Moana TV series has added David G. Derrick Jr. as director, allowing him to continue the journey that first brought him on board with Disney when he worked on Moana back in 2016. The new series will bring back the Samoan island girl who has now become chieftain and wayfinder of her tribe, and is currently set to be released on Disney+ sometime in 2024 after being pushed back from an originally announced 2023 arrival. There is no word yet on casting for the sequel as to whether the likes of Dwayne Johnson could be reprising his role as Maui, but with his very busy schedule the series delay could help out in allowing him to complete voiceover work for the part if he does feature.
Filming on Marvel’s Secret Invasion has been underway for a while now, and we are finally seeing some of the first images from the upcoming Disney+ show with a number of set photos finding their way online that feature Avengers mastermind Nick Fury, aka actor Samuel L. Jackson. Although Fury turned up briefly for Tony Stark’s funeral in Avengers: Endgame, his appearance in Spider-Man: Far From Home turned out not to be the real Nick Fury at all, but a Skrull in disguise in all but the post-credit scene that revealed Fury to be working on a secret space base, which helped to set up the Secret Invasion TV series back in 2019.
There were likely a lot of people who had their doubts about whether Peacemaker could make a big impact on HBO Max even after the success of The Suicide Squad before it. However, the violent, obscenity-filled spinoff series has surpassed even the highest expectations in viewer numbers and has now become the top reviewed release in the DCEU. John Cena’s starring role as Christopher Smith breaks away from last year’s The Suicide Squad, bringing the gun-totting hero into his own story as he joins a black ops organization to take down a threat known as Butterflies. Since premiering on January 13th, the series has managed to build on its initial reviews to now surpass Wonder Woman at the top of the DCEU review table.

Jenson Ackles caused a stir among fans when he announced that Supernatural would be getting a new prequel series focusing on the history of the Winchester family, with him returning as Dean Winchester to narrate part of the show. However, it soon became apparent that his long-time Supernatural co-star Jared Padalecki was not involved in the project or even aware it was happening. After a few shared messages on social media, the pair finally resolved the small issue and everyone seemed happy. A few days ago Marvel’s Japanese website caused a stir by revealing two additions to the known Marvel/Disney+ releases due in 2022 in the form of What If…? Season 2 and Secret Invasion. However, the website has now replaced the images of the years’ line-up and removed these two shows from the list, as well as rearranging the remaining shows and movies into a film group and a TV group. The previous layout of the page seemed to show the exact order that Marvel’s slate would be released in the coming year, with movies and Disney+ shows interspersed in one continuous list.

In 2019, Disney announced that several older properties were being revived for Disney+, and among them was the return of Hilary Duff as Lizzie McGuire. However, despite going into production that year and being promoted among Disney+’s 2020 releases, the series hit trouble early in 2020 with original creator Terri Minsky leaving the project and comments that both Minsky and Duff were hoping to see the series move to Hulu to be able to explore mature content that Disney clearly didn’t want to move forward with on their main platform. Now, a year on from the project officially being declared dead, Duff has shared details on what the new series would have looked like.

Legendary Pictures' MonsterVerse is officially set to make a comeback to the television screen at Apple TV+. The announcement recently came when Deadline reported a landmark deal that will bring Legendary's pre-existing franchise to Apple TV+. It has also been revealed that an untitled live-action television series taking place in the MonsterVerse is already in the works, and will feature Godzilla and several other titans. It's been nearly a year since we last saw the King of Monsters battle it out against the former ruler of Skull Island in the highly-anticipated film Godzilla vs. Kong. Wallace and Gromit, the lovable animated duo created in 1989 by Nick Park, are returning to screens in a brand new short film that will premiere on the BBC and Netflix during Christmas 2024. Jon Stewart will receive the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor at a special gala performance at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington D.C. Stewart is now the 23rd comedian to receive this prestigious award, which honors a lifetime achievement in comedy. The ceremony will take place on April 24, 2022.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe has thrown up many surprise appearances across its ever-expanding narrative, and there have been some characters that fans never expected to see again after their initial introduction. Top of that particular list has to be Emil Blonsky/ Abomination, who seemed destined to be a one-time character after his role in 2008's disjointed The Incredible Hulk, and the return of whom was as much a surprise to actor Tim Roth as anyone else. Having made a brief appearance in Shang-Chi and the Legend of The Ten Rings, Roth will take on a meatier role in the upcoming She-Hulk series, and the actor is excited to be back in the MCU after a thirteen-year absence.
Many of Sofia Vergara’s fans are used to seeing the actress in comedy mode as one of the lead stars of Modern Family, the hugely popular sitcom that helped the Columbian actress become the highest-paid female star in Hollywood in 2020. With the series coming to an end in April 2020, Vergara is now seemingly turning her attention to other projects, and one of those is the true-crime drama Griselda, in which she plays the title role of a drug trafficker who goes by many names. Coming from the team behind Narcos, Vergara will also be executive producer on the six-part series, which is expected to arrive on Netflix later this year, and Entertainment Weekly shared a first look at an almost unrecognizable Vergara in character.

They proved that today with the arrival of a minute-long title reveal trailer for their upcoming Lord of The Rings series ahead of the launch in September this year. The video features a slow-building visual of mists and fires, the forging of rings and a recital of Tolkien’s text, “Three rings for the Elven Kings under the sky, Seven for the Dwarf-lords in their halls of stone. Nine for mortal men, doomed to die. One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne. In the Land of Mordor, where the Shadows lie.” At the end of the poem, the title of Lord of The Rings: The Rings of Power is revealed.

Marvel fans were finally able to watch the full trailer for the upcoming Disney+ series Moon Knight on Monday, and while there was much to take away from the new footage, it was the first look at Ethan Hawke’s villain that had many fans doing a double-take as they were convinced they were actually seeing Kevin Bacon. The two-minute trailer revealed a very vague introduction to the nearly unknown character among casual Marvel fans, and has certainly raised the intrigue level around the upcoming series which will be arriving in March. However, fans on social media just couldn’t help but comment on how much Hawke’s look is very reminiscent of Kevin Bacon’s Tremors character of Valentine McKee.
Alex Trebek had a pretty good idea of whom he wanted to succeed him as the host of Jeopardy!, but that option was not treated seriously by the show's producers. Netflix’s Latino comedy-drama Gentefied has become the latest series to be canceled by the streamer after two seasons. Following the lives of three Mexican American cousins who tackle gentrification, family separation, babies and borders as well as trying to stop their grandfather’s taco shop from going out of business, the 2020 debut of the show’s first season gained a high critics rating on Rotten Tomatoes, but failing to bring in high viewer numbers through its new episodes ultimately led to its demise as reported earlier today by Deadline.

It will soon be time to meet the new students in a Degrassi series revival. HBO Max has announced that an all-new incarnation of the high school drama series is coming back with a revival in 2023. Hugh Laurie and Mark Ruffalo are set to star in Netflix's upcoming mini-series All The Light We Cannot See. The four-part series will adapt Anthony Doerr's Pulitzer Prize-winning novel of the same name to the screen. Hulu announced on Tuesday that The Great will return for a third season. The show’s 2nd season aired on November 19th, 2021, on Hulu with all 10 episodes. Being one of the website’s top-performing original comedies, this is no surprise at all. Elle Fanning and Nicholas Hoult will return as Catherine the Great and Emperor Peter III, respectively. Their supporting court and fellow helpers are Phoebe Fox, Adam Godley, Gwilym Lee, Charity Wakefield, Douglas Hodge, Sacha Dhawan, Bayo Gbadamosi, and Belinda Bromilow will return as well as series regulars.

The actor, artist, and television producer suffered some complications related to Parkinson's disease and was 87 at the time of his passing. Following his completion of The Suicide Squad and his Peacemaker spin-off series, James Gunn immediately began work on his Marvel duo of projects, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3 and the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, the latter of which will premiere on Disney+ this holiday season before the third movie hits cinemas next summer. According to Gunn though, the script he wrote for the Holiday Special is so good that he has found himself getting jealous of it as he is filming Guardians 3. While the Holiday Special was meant to film first in the back-to-back shoot, the rise of Omicron cases meant a change that Gunn explained is something they have had to work around.
We may not yet have seen a single episode of James Gunn's Peacemaker, but the director has already revealed that he would be happy to return and make another season of the show if allowed. While renewals of any series will depend solely on how well the current one performs, in an interview with Screen Rant, Gunn had fun when asked whether he would want to make any more seasons of the show. Robert Alan Durst, the disgraced real estate heir, convicted murderer, and subject of the Emmy Award-winning HBO crime documentary 2015's The Jinx: The Life and Deaths of Robert Durst, has died at age 78. Just months ago, Durst was found guilty of killing his best friend and sent to prison for life. On Monday, the lawyer's office issued a statement confirming this news while serving a life sentence for murder in California. But with his death, also comes a legal technicality, that will allow Durst's murder conviction to be vacated posthumously.
