John Cena Explains the Origins of 'You Can't See Me' Gesture
WWE superstar turned actor John Cena told the full story of his famous catchphrase. In his WWE matches, Cena would often wave his hand repeatedly over his face while looking at his opponent, a move he dubbed the "You can't see me." While promoting his new HBO Max series Peacemaker on The Tonight Show, Cena (in full costume as the DC character, no less) brought up the origins of the gesture, explaining to Jimmy Fallon exactly how the whole thing started as a dare that has since become inspiration for countless invisibility memes on the internet.
