The Rings of Power Will Explore the Origins of Familiar Characters Sauron, Elrond & More

Following the release of the first trailer for Amazon’s upcoming Lord of the Rings prequel series, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, showrunners J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay have offered further insight into what audiences can expect when they return to Middle Earth. In an interview with Vanity Fair, Payne and McKay revealed that, alongside the eventual creation of the One Ring, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power will explore the origins of familiar characters such as Sauron and Elrond.
