Weird Al Yankovic Reveals He Wrote Songs for Long Abandoned Star Wars Series

With every long-running franchise comes a list of films and TV shows that were pitched but essentially failed to make it to fruition for one reason or another. Star Wars has delivered a lot and is currently promising much more with Disney+ now at its disposal, but one series that sits on top of the pile as the “almost was” of unmade Star Wars projects is Star Wars Detours. Unlike many other projects that never advanced beyond early development, Star Wars Detours, which was created by Seth Green and had dozens of episodes of the comedy series complete at the time Disney bought Lucasfilm and seemingly put the brakes on the show ever being seen. To further tease fans about what might have been, Weird Al Yankovic has revealed that he recorded music to be used in the show.
