Neetu Kapoor says that the family continues to remember him. She also said that her son Ranbir Kapoor, who recently married Alia Bhatt, often misses him and is sometimes in tears recalling memories.
“I don’t want to be sad today. I want to celebrate him and his life just like how he would have wanted me to be. My kids and I celebrate his life by remembering all our fond memories. The entire family plans to get together and reminiscence our days with him. Rishi will be in our hearts forever,” Neetu Kapoor told News18. “Rishi had a larger than life persona and he is not the kind of person who can be forgotten. Every day I meet someone who has some story or an incident about him. I feel somehow, somewhere, he is still connected to me.”
She further revealed what it was like moving on after Rishi Kapoor’s death in 2020. “The initial six to seven months were really bad for all of us. We all cried a lot. But life has to go on. I can’t be crying and sitting at home. We have all moved on but we still remember him every day.”
She said that Ranbir Kapoor misses Rishi a lot. “Ranbir misses him a lot. His mobile screensaver still has Rishi’s photo. There are days when I see tears in his eyes but he stays strong,” she said.
Meanwhile, Neetu Kapoor is currently a judge on Dance Deewane Juniors. She will next star in Jug Jugg Jeeyo with Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor, and Prajakta Koli.

Rakesh Maria, an IPS officer, cleared his Civil Service Examination from the 1981 batch. As Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) in 1993, he cracked the Bombay serial blasts case, and later moved to DCP (Crime) and then Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime), of the Mumbai Police. Maria solved the 2003 Gateway of India and Zaveri Bazaar twin blasts case. Maria was also given the responsibility of investigating the 26/11 Mumbai attacks in 2008 and interrogated Ajmal Kasab, the only terrorist captured alive, and successfully investigated the case.
Rakesh Maria commented, “It is exciting to re-live the journey, especially when piloted by a brilliant director like Rohit Shetty. More than the nostalgia, it’s also a valuable opportunity to place before the people the extraordinary work of the Mumbai Police when facing tough challenges and working against all odds.”

As his health deteriorated, Taz was reportedly in a coma. In early March 2022, he was out of a coma and showed signs of improvement. His family had even released a statement at the time and thanked everyone for well-wishes.
Real name, Tarsem Singh Saini, Taz also gad Johnny Zee as a stage name. He shot to fame in 1989 with his album Hit The Deck. Some of his popular hits include ‘Pyar Ho Gaya’, ‘Nachenge Saari Raat’, and ‘Gallan Gorian’.

The actor seems to have refused a multi-crore endorsement deal for the same, days after Akshay Kumar received backlash for the Vimal paan masala advertisement for which he issued an apology.
Arjun Banerjee, Head – Talent & New Ventures at Exceed Entertainment, the talent management agency that works on Yash’s endorsement deals said in a statement, “Paan Masalas and such products have a hugely detrimental effect on people’s health and their impact can be life-threatening. This is a truly heroic conscience call by Yash, who has declined a deal that was very personally lucrative, in the interest of his fans and followers.”
“Given his pan India appeal, we want to use this opportunity to give the right kind of messaging to his fans and followers and invest our time and sweat with brands which have a conscience, are like-minded and want to play the long game, just like the man himself,” he added.
Yash currently is basking in the success of KGF – Chapter 2 while the makers have teased a third installment. As The actor recently told Variety, “Already, me and Prashanth (film director) have thought of a number of scenarios.” The post-credits scene in KGF 2 hints that there is more to Rocky’s adventure. Yash explained that they were unable to include some things in the second chapter so that the public could see them completely in the third installment.

The film also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan and is an Indian adaptation of Tom Hanks starrer Forrest Gump. The Indian adaptation of Eric Roth’s original screenplay has been done by Atul Kulkarni and is directed by Advait Chandan.
The Laal Singh Chaddha album is composed by maestro Pritam, with lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya and the first song ‘Kahani’ has vocals by Mohan Kannan that beautifully encapsulate the movie and in essence, introduces the audiences to the film. The actor reached RedFM studio on Thursday to talk about the song along with his daughter Ira Khan. During the conversation, he was asked whose opinion matters the most to him when it comes to his work, Aamir said his mother’s. He said, “Ammi bahut hi suljha hua response deti hain. Jab cheez unko pasand nahi aati hai toh kehti hai ‘Hatao, yeh kya banaya hai’ (My mother gives well-thought-out responses. When she doesn’t like something, she says, ‘Get it away from me, what have you made). She’s very cute in the way she says it.”
Aamir Khan also revealed that his mother is satisfied with Laal Singh Chaddha and told him not to make any changes. “Ammi ko film bahut pasand aayi. She said, ‘Aamir aap kisi baat mat suniye. Aapki film bahut sahi hain. Aur aap yahi release kariye. Kuch mat kaatiye.’ So Ammi ko kya lagta hai mere kaam ke baare mein woh boht zaruri hai. Number one reaction it is for me (My mother really liked the film. She said, ‘Don’t listen to anybody else, you’ve made a very good film. Don’t cut anything, release it as it is’. My mother’s opinion of my work is very important to me).”
Laal Singh Chaddha is produced by Aamir Khan Productions, Kiran Rao and Viacom18 Studios and is all set to release on 11th August, 2022 in theatres worldwide.

The actor, who was born in Chennai, was one of the most popular faces on television in the 80s. He worked in TV, and movies but gained popularity after starring in the TV series Subah on Doordarshan.
Salim’s wife Anita Salim confirmed the news of his passing to Indian Express stating that he had complained of chest pain on Wednesday night following which he was rushed to hospital. He passed away on Thursday. In a statement, she said, “We took him to Kokilaben Hospital last night, and he passed away this morning. He hated grieving and wanted life to go on. He didn’t suffer, he wouldn’t have liked being dependent on anyone. He was a man with a lot of self-respect. He was a multifaceted actor, a martial artist, an actor, a director, and a lovely chef in the kitchen.”
In the last couple of years, Salim Ghouse was busy with theatre work. He was also a voice-over artist and dubbed films like The Lion King and 300.
Salim Ghose starred in several projects including Manthan, Kalyug, Chakra, Saaransh, Trikal, Koyla, Soldier, Aks, among others.

The service recently completed half a decade of super-serving customers in India and announced that it will more than double its investment in Prime Video India over the next 5 years. Karan Johar confirmed exclusive streaming rights for Dharma Productions’ next three films and announced four new original series coming on the platform.
Following the success of Shershaah which premiered on Amazon Prime Video, Karan Johar announced that Dharma Productions has signed three-film exclusive streaming deals with the platform for its upcoming slate – Jug Jugg Jeeyo (Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Neetu Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Prajakta Koli), Govinda Naam Mera (Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar and Kiara Advani) and Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani (Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Dimple Kapadia.
One of the four series’ to be announced is Call Me Bae which is about a billionaire fashionista who is disowned by her ultra-rich family, owing to a salacious scandal and for the first time in her life, has to fend for herself. On this journey, she overcomes stereotypes and discovers who she really is. Produced by digital wing Dharmatic Entertainment, the show is written by Ishita Moitra, Samina Motlekar, and Rohit Nair.
The second series is India Love Project which is a docuseries that shares the inspiring love stories of real people from across the country where each episode tells an unusual yet hopeful story through the eyes of the real couples.
The third one is a film titled Aye Watan…Mere Watan which is inspired by true events, it is the story of a young girl who became uniquely instrumental in the freedom fight for Indian independence. The series is helmed by Kannan Iyer and written by Darab Farooqui.
The fourth project is yet to be announced. On a radio show, the actor unveiled the first musical asset of the much-anticipated film Laal Singh Chaddha. Aamir’s ‘Kahani’ is nothing but the first track from his upcoming film co-starring Kareena Kapoor Khan. Directed by Advait Chandan, the film is the official adaptation of the Hollywood film Forrest Gump starring Tom Hanks.
On Thursday, Aamir Khan released the first track from Laal Singh Chaddha through a radio channel. Releasing the track, Aamir said, “Iss dafa, saare gaane jo hai without visuals release honge (This time, all songs will be released without visuals)”. He also added they have not planned on when they will be releasing the tracks with visuals but asked the audience to enjoy the tracks from the film in the audio-only format.
Sung by Mohan Kannan, ‘Kahani’ is composed by Pritam and penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya. The melodious track is already on repeat mode for audiences who have had the chance to hear the track.
Talking about the song, Aamir said, “I truly believe that the songs in Laal Singh Chaddha are the soul of the film and this album has some of my career’s best songs. It was a very intentional decision to put Pritam, Amitabh, the singers, and technicians in the spotlight because not only do they deserve to be center stage but also the music deserves its due credit. I can’t wait to see how audiences react to the music that the team has poured their heart and soul into.”
‘Kahani‘ from Laal Singh Chaddha is also available to stream on Hungama Music.

Starring Yash the film that opened to a thunderous response in both the domestic and overseas markets has been raking in the moolah with each passing day. After recording a collection of over Rs. 50 cr on Day 1, the business of the film witnessed growth rapidly over its opening weekend. In fact, the business of KGF 2 fast crossed not just the Rs. 100 cr mark but the Rs. 200 cr and the Rs. 300 cr mark as well. Now on its 15th day running, KGF – Chapter 2 has managed to draw in a further Rs. 6.20 cr, taking its total box office collections to Rs. 343.13 cr.
In this box office report, we look at the collections of KGF – Chapter 2 while comparing the same to previous releases. Collecting a staggering Rs. 343.13, cr KGF – Chapter 2 has managed to become the third all-time highest grosser to date. In fact, the business of KGF 2 has managed to surpass the collections of previous releases like Sanju which collected Rs. 342.53 cr, PK which collected Rs. 340.8 cr, Tiger Zinda Hai which collected Rs. 339.16 cr, Bajrangi Bhaijaan which collected Rs. 320.34 cr, War which collected Rs. 317.91 cr, Padmaavat which collected Rs. 302.15 cr, and Sultan which had collected Rs. 300.45 cr.
On the other hand, the business of KGF 2 does not manage to come near the collections of the previously released SS Rajamouli directorial Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion which collected Rs. 510.99 cr and the Aamir Khan starrer Dangal collected Rs. 387.38 cr. However, given the film’s current trend at the box office, KGF – Chapter 2 could easily close the gap to the second place, which is currently occupied by Dangal.
Trade predictions state that KGF – Chapter 2 will continue to see business flourish despite the new releases viz. Runway 34 and Heropanti 2 hitting screens. In fact, this Eid, advance estimates claim that the business of the Yash starrer will certainly see a massive spike in collections making it that much closer to surpassing the overall business of Dangal.

KGF – Chapter 2 (Hindi) is now the third highest Hindi grosser ever, what with its collections been just next to Baahubali: The Conclusion (Hindi) (Rs. 510.99 crores) and Dangal (Rs. 387.38 crores) now. The film currently stands at Rs. 343.13 crores and in just 14 days has gone past the lifetime score of Sanju (Rs. 342.53 crores), PK (Rs. 340.80 crores) and Tiger Zinda Hai (Rs. 339.25 crores).
After collecting Rs. 7.48 crores on Tuesday, the film dipped a little on Wednesday but was still quite good at Rs. 6.25 crores. The momentum should continue today as well and one can well expect another day in the range of Rs. 5.25-5.50 crores that should take it within breathing distance of Rs. 350 crores before new releases Heropanti 2 and Runway 34 arrive.
Meanwhile, it would be curtains for Jersey this week itself as the film has been hardly collecting and has turned out to be a theatrical reject. The word of mouth hasn’t quite translated into footfalls which can be seen in Wednesday collections as well which were just a little above the Rs. 1 crore mark. Currently standing at Rs. 19.75 crores*, the film will go past the Rs. 20 crores mark but that’s about it. It won’t reach a lifetime of Rs. 25 crores, which is sad since the film deserved at least a double of that even in the worst case scenario.

What makes it unique is that this is the first time that Aamir has released the song of his film before the trailer release. The first song has also been released over three months before the scheduled theatrical release of the film on August 11.
Laal Singh Chaddha is the official adaptation of the Hollywood film Forrest Gump starring Tom Hanks. The film also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan. Directed by Advait Chandan, the film will trace the history of India through the eyes of the protagonist.

The Pan-India film has been in the making for several years and its release has been delayed oftentimes for different reasons. The film that stars newlyweds Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in the lead will be released in theatres worldwide on September 9. Disney has now added the film to its domestic slate and it will be released on the same day in the USA and Canada. The film which marks the beginning of a trilogy also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna, with a special appearance by Shah Rukh Khan.
The new universe called the Astraverse is inspired by ancient India and spiritual Indian mythology. According to Deadline, the film revolves around a secret society Brahmansh and Ranbir’s character Shiva’s mysterious connection with it. “The setup involves a secret society, the Brahmānsh, who, generation after generation, have protected many divine “Astras” (weapons) that were created in ancient India, and safe-guarded from the eyes of the world. The most powerful and the most deadly amongst these divine weapons, the Brahmāstra, is now waking up and threatens to destroy the universe we know today,” read the report.
“Part one of the planned trilogy centers on Shiva (Kapoor), a young man on the brink of an epic love story with Isha (Bhatt). But their world is turned upside down when Shiva learns he has a mysterious connection to the Brahmāstra, and a great power within him that he doesn’t understand just yet — the power of fire. The story follows Shiva as he journeys into the world of Astras and discovers his destiny as the Divine Hero of the universe,” it further read.
Produced by Fox Star Studios, Dharma Productions, Prime Focus, and Starlight Pictures, Brahmāstra will be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.

In an interview with Youtuber Ranveer Allahbadia, Ajay was asked how he and Kajol have managed to sustain their marriage for so long. “It is sustaining very well. Though there are ups and downs in every marriage. Disagreements are there, but you need to manage them because minds can’t be alike. Where kids are also concerned, two minds will think differently also. But then we come to terms and discuss what is right and what is wrong and that’s how it’s gonna work. You also have to understand the other person’s point of view. The first thing is that you need to be very open about when you think you are wrong, you should just apologize and get over with it, then it works. If you stay by your egos then it’s not gonna work,” he said.
Further, when asked if he is a ‘love dovey’ kind of a person in real life, Ajay said, “I am not a physical person. I care for people, I care a lot and I show in different ways. Love transforms into partnership, responsibility, and care and that is stronger than love because only love cannot just make it work,” he said.
Ajay and Kajol have shared screen in several films including Ishq, Dil Kya Kare, Pyaar Toh Hona Hi Tha, Raju Chacha, and more recently Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior.

It is a screen adaptation of one of Keigo Higashino’s most acclaimed works, “The Devotion of Suspect X”. Now, the makers plan to kick off the first schedule in Darjeeling next week.
In the first week of May, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Vijay Varma will head to Darjeeling to film key scenes at the hill station. A daily reports that a part of the production unit will erect a set in Mumbai’s Mehboob Studios. The schedule for the same will begin in May end.
The film is produced by 12th Street Entertainment, Northern Lights Films in association with Boundscript and Kross Pictures and marks Kareena Kapoor Khan’s streaming debut. Sujoy Ghosh will be producing the film along with Jay Shewakramani, Akshai Puri, and Thomas Kim.

After a rather lacklustre start the business of the film in China did not see much of an increase. Unlike previous Bollywood releases in this market, Drishyam has been facing an uphill task at the box office.
Now on Day 13 Drishyam has managed to draw in a further USD 1,10,000 [Rs. 84.33 lakhs] more taking its total collections at the China box office to USD 1.78 million [Rs. 13.64 cr.]. Unlike previous releases Drishyam has been facing a tough time in China due to sections of the market being under lockdown due to the resurgence of the Covid-19 virus.
Going forward, the business of the film at the China box office is not really expected to see much growth. Trade predictions state that the business of Drishyam will continue to see collections trickling in but will not see much of an increase.

According to early estimates, the movie has collected in the range of Rs. 1.36 to 1.45 crores on Tuesday to take the five day total collection to Rs. 17.81 crores.
The movie will now fold up around Rs. 20 crore mark and is a major flop at the box office. The lifetime collections of Jersey would be similar to the lifetime collections of Rangoon [Rs. 20.68 cr.] and Chance Pe Dance [Rs. 20.62 cr.]. Also Jersey‘s lifetime collections is the same as the Day 1 earnings of Shahid Kapoor’s last film, Kabir Singh [Rs. 20.21 cr]. The film will be discontinued from major properties this Friday to be replaced by Heropanti 2 and Runway 34.
Shahid Kapoor has seen two extremes in his last two releases – the biggest blockbuster in Kabir Singh and one of the biggest theatrical flops with Jersey. It would be interesting to see his move from hereon on the feature film front.

While KGF: Chapter 2 (Hindi) was extraordinary despite being in its second week, Jersey could just not find any sort of a hold despite this being its first Monday. The gap between the two movies is way too huge and now it’s only going to expand further in the coming weekdays.
Let’s talk about the Yash starrer first. The film is hardly getting impacted by anything around it and is confusing to have its victory march. This was pretty much evident by the fact that after Friday collections of Rs 11.56 crores, the film stayed quite stable on Monday to bring in Rs. 8.28 crores. This is simply superb since anything more than Rs. 7 crores would have been quite good too and here the film is still in the upwards of Rs. 8 crores. As a result, the overall total for the film stands at Rs. 329.40 crores and around Rs. 350 crores milestone is on the cards before the close of the week.
Meanwhile, Jersey is struggling as its total has reached only Rs. 17.25* crores. This is definitely not what everyone associated with the film would have bargained for during its making or later around the promotional and marketing campaign. A film with Shahid Kapoor in the lead and being a remake of a popular film warranted good footfalls at theatres. Moreover, the film has been made well too. It’s just unfortunate that audiences were not much aware around the film releasing and later with word of mouth not quite kicking in, even Monday stood at mere Rs. 1.75* crores.
A sad state of affairs indeed.
