KGF – Chapter 2 Box Office: Film has a superb hold on Monday, will enter Rs. 300 Crore Club by second weekend; all eyes on KGF – Chapter 3 now

It is raining blockbusters at theatres. The Kashmir Files started it all, RRR (Hindi) followed, and now KGF – Chapter 2 (Hindi) is set to be a hattrick film, and that too is the biggest of them all. While the first in the list has crossed the Rs. 250 crores mark with the latter aiming for Rs. 265-270 crores lifetime, the latest release will cross these numbers in the first week itself. In fact, the manner in which the Yash starrer is currently doing at the box office, its entry into the Rs. 300 Crore Club should happen during the second weekend itself, which would be simply mind-blowing.

On Monday, the film held on amazingly well to collect Rs. 25.57 crores more which has pushed the numbers to Rs. 219.56 crores. What is working in favour of the film is the film that it is turning out to be a universal film. Be it multiplexes or single screens, A or B&C centres, mass or class, gentry or women folk, just about everywhere the film is being loved. This rarely happens and for a hard-core action film, which is also, quite violent, this is just unprecedented.

For all involved with the film, this is in fact going to be a case study in itself as that would decide where would KGF – Chapter 3 end up, which is definitely in the making. Rest assured, it will yet again set the record for the biggest opening ever and the numbers would be insane since we are talking about 2024-25 release, by when the market would anyways have gone to a different level altogether.
