Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 Box Office: Kiara Advani scores her fourth double digit opening

With her seventh theatrical release Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Kiara Advani has scored her fourth double-digit opening. Now that’s commendable since it pretty much demonstrates consistency on a film-by-film basis. As a matter of fact, one can well imagine that this could easily have been six double-digit opening in nine theatrical releases had Laxmii and Shershaah arrived at the big screen as well. Both the films had to take the OTT route due to the pandemic situation, due to which Kiara missed out on gaining a couple of additional box office hits.

Of course, she has had her low points as well. Her debut release Fugly wasn’t great shakes while Machine and Indoo Ki Jawaani went unnoticed at the box office. However, there is at least one takeaway in the form of ‘Tu Cheez Badi Hai Mast Mast’ from Machine that allowed her to bag her subsequent set of films. Hence allowing her a solid footing ever since. This can well be seen from the fact that her Kabir Singh as well as Good Newwz were quite good, which followed her impressive part in M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story, which stays on to be her biggest ever.

Kabir Singh – Rs. 20.21 crores
Good Newwz – Rs. 17.56 crores
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 – Rs. 14.11 crores
Fugly – Rs. 2.95 crores
Machine – Rs. 0.50 crores
Indoo Ki Jawani – Rs. 0.22 crores

While she has already scored a couple of double centuries [Kabir Singh, Good Newwz] and a big century [M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story], rest assured she would soon have the fourth century to her name as well in the form of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. Now that would indeed be an enviable feat. With JugJugg Jeeyo and Govinda Naam Mera as her next two films, she is indeed set for a lot more.
