Karan Johar responds to a Twitter user who questioned ‘Indian creativity’ after Nagarjuna’s character finds Amitabh Bachchan’s home on Google maps in Brahmastra
After much anticipation, Brahmastra starring Ranbir Kapoor, and Alia Bhatt will hit the theatres and has already crossed the Rs. 350 crore mark gross worldwide whereas is just under Rs. 200 crore nett at the domestic box office. However, Karan Johar had to take to social media to defend the film after a question on creativity came up.
In the film, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s characters Shiva and Isha are in search of Amitabh Bachchan, who plays Guruji, in the film. Nagarjuna’s character, Anish Shetty, helps them find the secret ashram and searches the address on Google maps. This is what the question was about. In a now deleted tweet, a Twitter user asked Karan, “Tell me how that Ashram is secret and the address of ashram is on Google maps? For this logic the movie has earnerd 300 crs? This is what indian creativity is?”
Karan Johar responded, “The Guru is living like any other person in the real world… no one knows HE is the leader of the BRAHMANSH! That His is the house of the Astras… so his address with his name in the real world is of-course on google maps!”
