Pathaan Box Office: Shah Rukh Khan starrer collects Rs. 140.75 cr in Mumbai circuit; emerges as all-time highest Bollywood grosser

The Siddharth Anand directed film Pathaan starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika padukone, and John Abraham released a while back, and since then there has been no stopping the film at the box office. Released across 5,500 screens in the domestic market, the Yash Raj Films venture Pathaan witnessed one of the widest releases post the pandemic. This wide release pattern, immense anticipation for the film and of course positive reviews ensures its starts on a thunderous note. If that was not enough, Pathaan that has been on a record breaking spree has now managed to climb to the top of the box office within the Mumbai circuit.

Collecting a staggering Rs. 140.75 cr, Pathaan has managed to emerge as the all-time highest Bollywood grosser within this domestic territory. If fact, Pathaan which saw over 20,000 shows a day within the Mumbai circuit alone, has managed to surpass the business of previous releases like Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior which collected Rs. 136.94 cr, Tiger Zinda Hai which collected Rs. 109.08 cr, and PK which collected Rs. 105.2 cr. However, when compared to south releases that were dubbed in Hindi, while Pathaan does manage to surpass the collections of KGF – Chapter 2 which collected Rs. 134.61 cr, it does not manage to out beat the business of Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion which collected Rs. 191.58 cr.

However, Pathaan still continues to run in theatres, and with a clear week ahead the business of the film is expected to see further increase. As of now, trade predictions state that the business of Pathaan is likely to close the gap, and could even surpass the business of Baahubali 2 within the Mumbai circuit.
