BTS’ SUGA’s encore concerts in Seoul witnesses over 38,000 people in attendance

SUGA of BTS wrapped up SUGA | Agust D TOUR ‘D-DAY’ THE FINAL, the three additional encore shows in Seoul, last night. SUGA | Agust D TOUR ‘D-DAY’ THE FINAL saw approximately 38,000 people total, from August 4 to August 6. His entire tour garnered approximately 330,000 people over a total of 28 shows in 10 major cities around the world, including New York, LA, Jakarta, Kanagawa, Bangkok, Seoul, etc.

On the last day of the show, SUGA began the concert stating, “Since tonight is the final show of THE FINAL, I hope all of you enjoy the show as much as you can without any regrets.”

Special surprise guests from BTS joined SUGA on stage for all three days. On the first day of the show (August 4), Jung Kook performed “Burn It” with SUGA, and staged a solo performance of his latest single “Seven.” Jimin appeared on the second day (August 5), performing “Tony Montana” as a duet and a solo stage for “Like Crazy.” On the final day (August 6), RM staged “Strange” with SUGA and showcased a piece of unreleased music for the fans.

SUGA added special moments for the encore shows. During the “Life Goes On” performance, a video of his previous shows was played on screen. Towards the end of the show, a video portraying various moments of all BTS members reminded the fans how the septet will always be together with the fans. SUGA also showcased a new stage for “Snooze” with an electric guitar, instead of the piano he played for the previous shows. He also staged “Dear my friend” from his mixtape D-2 for the first time.

Upon closing the show, SUGA delivered a heartfelt message saying, “Thank you all for being with me today. The next time I perform on stage, I will be with all our (BTS) members as seven.” He continued, “I wanted to express how grateful I am to all of you.” At the end of the final show, SUGA made an exit through a door, symbolizing both the end of the world tour and the beginning of his new journey.

In April 2023, SUGA released his first official solo album D-DAY under his other stage moniker Agust D, and successfully launched his first solo world tour SUGA | Agust D TOUR ‘D-DAY’ in the U.S. and Asia over two-month period.
