Kareena Kapoor Khan applauds husband Saif Ali Khan’s artistic prowess; says, “I think Saif is a fab actor”

Bollywood actress, Kareena Kapoor Khan, is all set to make her highly-anticipated debut in the world of OTT entertainment with Jaane Jaan, a mystery crime thriller set to premiere on Netflix. While promoting her film, she sat down for an interview with Film Companion where she not only spoke about her flourishing acting career but also offered a glimpse into her admiration for her husband, Saif Ali Khan, and his approach to acting.

Kareena Kapoor Khan, known for her magnetic presence on screen, was effusive in her praise for Saif Ali Khan’s acting skills. She revealed that she has drawn inspiration from her husband’s dedication and versatility as an actor. “I think Saif is a fab actor. I don’t know how he does it, but he will travel to Rajasthan for four months to shoot Laal Kaptaan. That’s because he wants to do it. Because he has loved watching those kind of movies. So he’s like, ‘I want to play a Naga Sadhu,’” shared the actress, shedding light on her husband’s unwavering commitment to his craft.

Kareena went on to highlight Saif Ali Khan’s ability to delve into unique characters and explore unconventional roles. She marveled at his ability to conceptualize and execute complex roles that have earned him acclaim as an artist. “Who really thinks that? He just has these characters and weird thoughts, which I think, has helped him position himself as one of the finest artists. He’s considered – I would say – an artist because of the choices he makes. And I think I’ve learned that from him,” Kareena Kapoor Khan added, underscoring the influence Saif has had on her own artistic journey.

For the unversed, Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan got married on October 16, 2012. Their wedding was a private. The ceremony was attended by close family members and friends. Kareena and Saif have since been recognized as one of Bollywood’s power couples. They have a son named Taimur Ali Khan, who was born on December 20, 2016, and a second son named Jeh Ali Khan, born on February 21, 2021.

Meanwhile, on the film front, Kareena will be soon seen in Sujoy Ghosh, Jaane Jaan which is a Hindi adaptation of Japanese author Higashino Keigo’s bestselling novel, ‘The Devotion of Suspect X,’ published in 2005. This thriller is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on September 21. She is also set to share the screen with Tabu and Kriti Sanon in The Crew, a film that is reportedly scheduled for release in March 2024.

On the other hand, Saif was recently seen in Om Raut’s directorial Adipurush which released in theatres on June 16, 2023. Apart from Saif, the film also featured Ktiti Sanon, Prabhas, Sunny Singh and Devdatta Nage. He also has Devara starring alongside Jr. NTR and Janhvi Kapoor. Directed by filmmaker Koratala Siva, the film is expected to be a visual extravaganza with an exciting storyline.
