Andre Braugher, Brooklyn Nine-Nine star, passes away at 61 after brief illness
In one of the tragic news, Hollywood actor Andre Braugher, popularly known for his role as Captain Holt in Brooklyn Nine-Nine, has passed away at the age of 61. The news was confirmed by his publicist Jennifer Allen that he died after a brief illness.
Andre Braugher was popularly known for his role as Captain Raymond Holt on the police sitcom series Brooklyn Nine-Nine from 2013 until 2021. His character shared a great camaraderie with Andy Samberg’s Detective Jake Peralta.
Andre Braugher also gained widespread recognition for his portrayal of Detective Frank Pembleton in the TV series Homicide: Life on the Street, which not only earned him critical acclaim but also an Emmy Award nomination.
Apart from TV, Braugher was involved in theatre and various films, including Glory (1989), Primal Fear (1996), and Frequency (2000).
Andre Braugher is survived by his wife Ami Brabson and three children.
