Fardeen Khan shares his experience of walking the red carpet for Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar after 14 years; says, “Feeling a mix of nerves and nostalgia”

Fardeen Khan, who has not been on screen since 2010, has made a massive comeback with none other than the respected filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The latter marked his web-series debut with Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, and along with him, Fardeen too made a comeback in the entertainment industry as Nawab Wali Mohammed in this pre-Independence historic drama. Expressing his gratitude towards bagging this role and sharing his experience of walking the red carpet at the premiere which was held earlier this week, Khan shared a heartfelt post on social media.

It is a known fact that Fardeen Khan underwent extensive transformation before he decided to return to the film industry. The actor couldn’t be more excited to make a comeback on such a grand scale. The premiere of the web-series was held in Mumbai earlier this week, where two episodes of the show were screened for the celebrity guests who were a part of this glitzy evening. Along with that, the star cast also walked the red carpet for the Sanjay Leela Bhansali production and sharing experience of the same, “14 years on, getting ready to walk the red carpet again”.

He further went on to add, “Feeling a mix of nerves and nostalgia, but mostly, I’m just grateful. To my incredible fans who’ve waited, this moment was ours. Without your love and support I wouldn’t be here. So here’s to new beginnings and cherished memories! Sending you all my love.”

Apart from these Fardeen Khan also shared another post, wherein he said, “Being away for as long as I have, I could only dream of a night like this. I am deeply thankful to everyone at Netflix, the entire cast and crew and especially to Sanjay Leela Bhansali, a true visionary and master of our times. SLB sir, thank you for allowing me the opportunity to bring Wali Mohammed to life. It’s been an absolute honour and a privilege of a lifetime working and learning from you on Heeramandi”.

In yet another post, the actor also shared some fun moments with the entire cast of the film which includes Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Taha Shah Badussha, and even SLB. Apart from them, the web-show also stars Shekhar Suman and his son Adyayan Suman.

Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar is an eight episodic series, which is all set to premiere on Netflix from May 1 onwards.
