Priyanka Chopra Jonas pens a heartfelt note for Angelina Jolie and her daughter Vivienne as they win Tony Award for The Outsiders
Priyanka Chopra Jonas, who is busy with wrapping up her film commitments, took time out from her schedule to congratulate actress-producer Angelina Jolie on her recent moment of triumph. The Desi Girl actress took to social media to pen a long note to share her happiness over her friend and colleague’s achievement of winning the prestigious Tony Award for the Best Musical for her recent production The Outsider and along with that, she also applauded the work of her daughter Vivienne.
Taking to her Instagram story, Priyanka Chopra Jonas shared a photo of Angelina Jolie and daughter Vivienne rejoicing this special moment on stage. In the note which she shared as a caption, she also appreciated the hard work put in by Vivienne and added, “”Huge congratulations to this angel who deserves everything in life and more! Congratulations on winning the Tony for best musical for The Outsiders and also multiple awards and 12 nominations!! You’re a force and I’m so inspired by you everyday @angelinajolie. Congratulations Vivian.”
Angelina Jolie marks her first collaboration with daughter Vivienne
Angelina Jolie revealed that her daughter Vivienne is quite passionate about theatre and even assisted in the production of this Broadway Musical. In an interview with Deadline, she had said, “My daughter Viv loves theater. She appreciates all theater but she certainly knows what she feels close to and what she responds to. She went to see The Outsiders at La Jolla, [California] about five times and was telling me about it, and I had read the book, and I’d seen the film years ago.” She also opened about how her daughter worked hard and stated, “I had the privilege of watching everyone work over this last year to make it into what it is, and Vivienne has been there the whole way.”
About The Outsiders
Based on the novel written by S.E. Herton, the musical revolves around two rival gangs divided by class and status which is set against the backdrop of Tulsa in Oklahoma.
