Rashmika Mandanna opens up about her bond with Vijay Deverakonda amid engagement rumours; says, “He has supported me personally more than anyone else”

Even though Vijay Deverakonda has maintained that he is not getting married any time soon, his engagement rumours with Rashmika Mandanna continues to add fuel. The two actors, who have shared screen space in Telugu films like Geetha Govindam and Dear Comrade, have remained tight-lipped about their relationship. However, the two of them have never left an opportunity to talk about their ‘special friendship’ and recently Rashmika was seen revealing about her bond with Vijay.

In an interview with We Are Yuvaa, Rashmika Mandanna was seen explaining about her friendship with Vijay Deverakonda wherein she said “Viju and I sort of grew up together. So anything I do in my life right now, he has a contribution to it.” She went on to add that his opinion matters to her as she continued, “I take his advice in anything I do, I need his opinion. He’s not a yes person. He’s on point. This is good…this is not good…this is what I think…this is what I don’t think. He has supported me personally more than anyone else in my entire life. So, I feel he’s someone I really, really respect.”

Last month, at the start of the year, reports were abuzz with engagement rumours of the two Telugu stars. However,  in an interview with Lifestyle Asia, Vijay clarified that it is not true and he had said, “I’m not getting engaged or married in February. It feels like the press just wants to get me married every two years. I hear this rumour every year. They’re just walking around waiting to catch me and get me married.”

On the work front, Vijay Deverakonda is busy with his work commitments including two films Family Star with Mrunal Thakur and the untitled VD 12. Meanwhile, Rashmika too has an interesting lineup of films which is a mix of Bollywood and South projects, including the much-awaited Pushpa 2: The Rule, Rainbow, The Girlfriend, and the Vicky Kaushal starrer Chaava.

Kartik Aaryan enjoys Ras Malai to celebrate the wrap up of the final schedule of Chandu Champion; calls it ‘Taste of Victory’

After delivering a heartfelt performance in the romantic drama Satyaprem Ki Katha last year, Kartik Aaryan is gearing up for the release of his next film Chandu Champion. While he kicked off the film last year, he has now completed the final schedule after a challenging eight months shoot, where he also underwent extensive physical transformation. After a gruelling training session and an extensive diet to achieve a lean frame, the actor, after completing the shoot, was treated to his favourite sweet dish by his director Kabir Khan.

Kartik Aaryan was seen enjoying his favourite sweet dish RasMalai at the wrap-up party of Chandu Champion. Sharing a video of the same from the sets of the movie, Kartik took to his social media and penned down a note commemorating the completion of the final schedule as he said, “This RasMalai Tasted Like Victory ! Finally eating sugar after a year !! After more than a year of intense preparation and 8 months of day-n-night shoots across the globe, today we complete the shooting journey of #ChanduChampion. It is well known that Kartik Aaryan has gone through a massive transformation to get into the shape of his character in the sports-action drama. The actor is expected to play a soldier along with the plotline also extensively revolving around sports. Directed by Kabir Khan and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under his banner Nadiadwala and Grandsons, the film is also expected to star Shraddha Kapoor as the leading lady and it is slated for release on June 14.

Akshay Kumar, Boney Kapoor’s firms and T-Series qualify for final round of bid for the development of Film City near Noida; Boney Kapoor’s Bayview wins bid

On January 18, Bollywood Hungama reported that as per The Economic Times, Akshay Kumar’s Cape of Good Films LLP, T-Series, Maddock Films, Boney Kapoor’s Bayview Projects LLP and K C Bokadia’s Lions Films Private Limited have submitted bids for the development of phase-1 of the Film City. The bids were submitted after the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA)’s invitation. Meanwhile, another article, published in the Times of India stated that Maddock Films, Cape of Good Films LLP, and others have formed a consortium, Supersonic Technobuild Private Limited, to execute the project.

There was a fresh update on this front very recently. It has come to light that Boney Kapoor’s Bayview Projects LLP emerged as the highest bidder for the ambitious project. The company, as per reports, is a joint venture between Boney Kapoor, Parmesh Construction Company Limited (Bhutani Group) and Noida Cyberpark Private Limited.

Some days ago, a report in The Indian Express stated that on Saturday, January 27, Bayview Projects LLP, Lions Films Private Limited, Supersonic Technobuild Private Limited and T-Series made presentations for the project and were technically qualified for the final stage of the selection process. As per YEIDA, the companies specially focussed on their vision for the Film City, concept, timeline for the completion of the project etc.

Pictures on the internet show Boney Kapoor present at the meeting while Akshay Kumar was a part of it virtually.

Another article in The Indian Express stated that Bayview Projects LLP agreed to provide YEIDA with an 18% gross revenue share, which was the highest offer among all the bidders. Lions Films Private Limited offered a gross revenue share of 15.12% while Supersonic Technobuild Private Limited and T-Series offered a revenue share of 10.80% and 5.27% respectively.

The Film City, which will entail an investment of Rs. 10,000 crores, will be constructed on a land of 1,000 acres and the first phase comprises 230 acres. The 1,000-acre site includes 740 acres for filming, 40 acres for film institutes, 120 acres for an amusement park and retail, and the balance 100 acres for commercial use. It also mentions that media industry offices, theme park, hotel, retail stores and an F&B hub will also be housed in the Film City.

Rajiv Arora, general manager and chief financial officer of Boney Kapoor’s firm Bayview, was quoted in an article in the Hindustan Times saying, “We will start work at the site as soon as the government hands over the 230 acres. We have already prepared our detailed strategy. We will invest Rs. 1,500 crores in this project and develop it in a manner so that we can provide everything related to films like artists, technology and studios. One can make an entire film under one roof with ease here once it is developed.”

Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal soars at No. 4 on Netflix with 6.2 million viewership

Netflix India recently elevated the long weekend with the global digital release of the much-anticipated blockbuster film Animal on January 26, 2024. Boasting a cast including Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna, and Triptii Dimri, the movie is now accessible in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada, on Netflix. Released in theatres on December 2023, the film, helmed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, garnered polarizing reactions but collected more than Rs. 800 crore at the global box office.

Now, five days after the release of the film on the platform, the film has garnered 6.2 million viewers with 20 million watch time hours. Animal is soaring at No. 4 on Netflix’s Non-English Film list, in its first week of the release.

Recently, Ranbir Kapoor was felicitated with the Best Actor Award at Filmfare 2024 in Gujarat for his performance in Animal.

Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, this action drama explores the intricacies of modern-day relationships, focusing on the dynamics between a father and son. The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar, Murad Khetani, and Pranay Reddy Vanga.

Renowned actor Ashok Saraf, celebrated for his prolific contributions to Marathi cinema and Hindi films, has been honoured with the prestigious Maharashtra Bhushan Award 2023. Acknowledging his stellar career, the announcement was made by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. The award stands as a testament to Saraf’s enduring legacy and his role in shaping the cinematic narrative, transcending boundaries.

“Chief Minister announced giving 2023 Varshacha Maharashtra Bhushan Award to senior Marathi film and theatre actor Ashok Saraf for his immense contribution in the field of art. Ashok Saraf is not only humorous but has shown various shades from serious nature to villainous tendencies through his acting and has congratulated such Chief Ministers as Ghadaville and Rasikanwar Adhirajya Gajwale,” wrote the Maharashtra CM on FaceBook, now called Meta.

Ashok Saraf gained fame for his performances in Marathi plays and later transitioned to films. Some of his notable Marathi films include Chal Re Laxya Mumbaila, Ashi Hi Banwa Banwi, and Thartharat. In Hindi cinema, he appeared in films like Shaukeen, Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kya, Chhoti Si Baat, and Rang Birangi.

Shah Rukh Khan says success of Pathaan, Jawan, Dunki reaffirmed his faith in himself; fans tell him, “Don’t go away for four years”

Shah Rukh Khan is celebrating his massive 2023! Following the blockbusters Pathaan, Jawan and Dunki, a fan meeting was hosted at Yash Raj Studios on Monday where SRK interacted with the fans and talked about the highs and lows in his career.

During the fan event, Shah Rukh Khan opened up about the phase of his career where his films failed to work at the box office. He also talked about how 2023 reaffirmed his faith in himself and that he should always listen to his instincts. “I have been working for 33 years. Normally you do feel nervous. You feel, ‘Yaar I hope I have got the film right.’ Before these, there were some films of mine which didn’t work, so I would think ‘Main acchi films bana nahi raha hoon.’ But more than my films, the love that people showered on Pathaan, Jawan, Dunki, from India and outside the country…They have taken me to their heart more than the films and said, ‘Don’t go away for four years. Two-three months is fine.’ So I am thankful to you, the audience and the whole world for making me realise that what I do is right and I need to keep doing it,” SRK told the crowd on Monday.
