An official press release describes the show saying, “Chamak takes viewers on a rollercoaster ride through the glitz and glamour of Punjab’s music scene, providing an authentic glimpse into the triumphs, trials, and tribulations faced by talented individuals seeking to make their mark in the industry. With Isha Talwar at the helm, the show is set to showcase the raw emotions, intense passion, and unrelenting dedication of artists as they navigate the high-stakes world of fame and fortune. Chamak aims to unravel the story of one of the highest grossing music industries in the world which is set in Punjab. No Indian wedding is complete without a Punjabi number and often Punjabi music sets the tone in all the parties, but what’s interesting is to get a glimpse of how artists navigate their way in big industries.”
Sharing her reaction at bagging the show, Isha Talwar said in a statement, “I am happy to play a girl-next-door and be a part of Chamak, a web series that delves into the nitty-gritties of the Punjabi music industry. This show goes beyond the glitz and glamour to explore the artists’ journey and their complex relationship with fame. It’s very close to my own journey in many ways. I am quite thrilled that I learnt how to play the Dhol for this one!” Isha is known for starring in Mirzapur season 2 and will now be seen in season 3. She is also a part of Rohit Shetty’s cop web show Indian Police Force.
Chamak is directed by Rohit Jugraj Chauhan. He is known for making some successful Punjabi movies like Jatt James Bond, Sardarji and Sardarji 2. He was also one of the directors on Netflix’s show Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein.
Chamak will be streaming on Sony LIV from August.

The show will also feature him alongside Shivangi Joshi aka Naira of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai fame, for the first time. While in the earlier promo we got a glimpse of the chemistry we will get to see between these two characters, recently the channel unveiled the release date of the show as July 10.
Furthermore, it is also being said that Barsatein will be airing on Sony Entertainment Television at 8 pm. Along with the announcement, the makers also unveiled another promo showcasing glimpses of the characters essayed by Shivangi Joshi and Kushal Tandon. Shivangi is expected to play the role of a journalist named Aradhana who works for the arrogant Casanova Reyansh. The latest promo showcases how much Aradhana dislikes Reyansh for his arrogance, flirtatious attitude, and pride.

In an earlier interview with ETimes, Shivangi had opened about her character in the upcoming show saying, “In my new show, I play Aradhna, a journalist. She is optimistic, strong-headed, and determined to achieve her goals in life. She works for Reyaansh (Kushal Tandon’s character) and the plot revolves around how girls fall for boys who generally break their hearts. He is not a bad guy but tends to break their hearts. I am quite looking forward to this role. It is very different from the kind of roles I have played in my earlier roles.”
Produced by Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms, Barsatein will premiere on July 10 and will be airing from Monday to Friday at 8 pm only on Sony Entertainment.

Prime Minister Modi looked elegant in a traditional white kurta pyjama paired with a powder blue jacket. The visuals captured the sight of the crowd waving Indian and US flags while chanting “Modi, Modi.” Banners expressing the excitement of the Indian American diaspora were held high, with one reading, “Indian American Diaspora welcomes Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi.”

Speaking to ANI, a woman in the crowd shared her enthusiasm, stating, “I have seen Presidents of many countries visiting the US, but never seen such a large crowd gathered here to welcome them. This crowd here means that he (PM Modi) is doing good.”
Following the ceremonial welcome, Prime Minister Modi and President Biden engaged in a one-on-one meeting in the Oval Office. The leaders discussed various aspects to strengthen the Indo-US strategic relations, including defence, space, clean energy, and critical technologies. The high-level talks aimed to further deepen the growing ties between the two nations.

The dialogue in question refers to Sita as “India’s daughter,” which has raised concerns over Nepal’s sovereignty and sparked outrage among Nepali officials and citizens alike. However, the Nepal court has reversed the ban on the Prabhas-Kriti Sanon starrer.
For the unversed, Kathmandu Mayor Balendra Shah swiftly announced the ban, emphasizing the film’s potential threat to Nepal’s independence. In a defiant statement, Mayor Shah declared his willingness to face any consequences, firmly asserting that he will not permit the screening of Adipurush in Nepal.
Citing the dialogue as a matter of national importance, he believes it directly affects Nepal’s sovereignty. However, the Patan High Court has issued a temporary order stating that films approved by the censor board should not be obstructed from screening.
On the other hand, Bhaskar Dhungana, President of the Nepal Motion Picture Association, informed the media that the petitioners are eagerly awaiting the court’s written order. He expressed relief over the court’s decision, announcing that all movies that have obtained permission from the censor board will now be screened without hindrance.
Directed by Om Raut and backed by T-Series, the Prabhas and Kriti Sanon starrer was released worldwide on June 16. The ensemble cast of teh film also features Saif Ali Khan, Devdatta Nage and Vatsal Sheth.
