Drishyam actress Meena’s husband passes away

Actress Meena’s husband and businessman Vidyasagar passed away after being admitted to a private hospital in Chennai. He was reportedly taking treatment for a lung infection for the past few months. He is survived by his wife and actress Meena and their little daughter Nainika.

Meena, who is known for her doing films with big names in the South industry, was seen in Drishyam 1 and 2 alongside Mohanlal. The actress also has several well wishers from the industry, out of which some of them took to social media to extend their condolences to her and the family.  Sarath kumar, who has acted with Meena in many films expressed his grief over the demise saying, “It is shocking to hear the news of the untimely demise of Actor Meena’s husband Vidyasagar, our family’s heartfelt condolences to Meena and the near and dear of her family, may his soul rest in peace.’

Also, co-actress Khushbu Sundar too expressed her shock over the news adding, “Waking up to a terrible news.Heartbroken to learn actor Meena’s husband, Sagar, is no more with us. He was battling lung ailment for long. Heart goes out to Meena n her young daughter. Life is cruel. At loss of words to express grief. Deepest condolences to the family.  #RIP”

In her recent tweet, the actress also requested the media to be more responsible and not to cause panic. She added, “I very humbly request the media to be little responsible. Meena’s husband had covid 3 months back. Covid worsened his lung condition. Pls do not send out a wrong message & create any kind of fear or cause flutter by saying we lost Sagar to covid. Yes we need to cautious, but pls.”

Meena tied the knot with businessman Vidyasagar way back in 2009. Their daughter Nainika is also a child artist like her mother. She played the role of Vijay’s daughter in the blockbuster Theri that also starred Samantha Ruth Prabhu.

Katrina Kaif, Ishaan Khatter and Siddhant Chaturvedi starrer Phone Bhoot to release on October 7, 2022; first poster unveiled

Ritesh Sidhwani & Farhan Akhtar’s Excel Entertainment has announced the release date of their upcoming horror-comedy Phone Bhoot, starring Katrina Kaif, Siddhant Chaturvedi, and Ishaan Khattar in lead roles. The film arrives in theatres on October 7, 2022.

Along with the release date, Farhan Akhtar unveiled the first poster of the film. He wrote, “#PhoneBhoot ki duniya mein aapka swagat hai. Arriving on 7th Oct, 2022 at cinemas near you.”

Aamir Khan dances on ‘Phir Na Aisi Raat Aayegi’ with Bhojpuri actress Akshara Singh; she says, “This is such a dream come true”

Aamir Khan recently launched the song ‘Phir Na Aisi Raat Aayegi’ from the film Laal Singh Chaddha. Composed by ace singer Pritam and sung by Arijit Singh, the song is picturised on Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan. The actor recently gave an opportunity to a few influencers to listen to the song. One of them was a Bhojpuri actress Akshara Singh who not only got to listen to the song first but also shared a dance with him.

Akshara took to Instagram to post videos of her dancing with Aamir. She wrote, “This is such a dream come true! Thank you Aamir Sir for making this day one I can never forget!!”

Jacqueline Fernandez grilled for 8 hours by ED in conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar case

Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez appeared before Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Monday after fresh summons were initiated against her. The actress was reportedly grilled for 8 hours by ED in the conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar case. Jacqueline Fernandez flew to the capital to record her statement after the ED issued summons for a new round of questioning.

The actress was accused of having a connection with the infamous conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar and it was alleged that about Rs. 7.27 crores of funds were seized from the actress in the name of proceeds of crime. The actress has been previously questioned thrice in the same case under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).

According to a report in News 18 earlier, a fixed deposit worth Rs. 7.12 crore has been attached to Jacqueline Fernandez’ name. Infact, the ED estimated that Sukesh gifted gifts “worth Rs 5.71 crore to Jacqueline using the extortion money. It is also said that Sukesh gave funds close to $173,000 and around 27,000 Australian dollars to a few close members of Jacqueline’s family.”

In Sukesh Chandrasekhar’s statement recorded under Section 50 of the PMLA (Prevention of Money Laundering Act), Sukesh had said that he gave as many as 15 pairs of earrings, five Birkin bags, and other luxury goods from Chanel, Gucci to the actor. The conman also claimed that he gifted Jacqueline Fernandez Cartier bangles and rings and a bracelet by Tiffany & Co. in addition to Rolex watches. He also gave Jacqueline Fernandez jewellery worth Rs 7 crore and gifted her a horse called ‘Espuelah’.

In addition, Sukesh Chandrashekhar also extended a loan of USD 150,000 to Jacqueline Fernandez’s sister, who lives in the US. He also gave her a BMW X5 car and gifted Jacqueline Fernandez’s parents a Maserati and her mother in Bahrain a Porsche. He also extended a loan of USD 50,000 to her brother in Australia.

In its charge sheet, the Delhi Police has accused Sukesh Chandrasekhar and 13 others of duping the wife of the former promoter of Ranbaxy to the tune of Rs 200 crore. Officials believe Chandrasekhar extorted Rs. 200 crore from the complainant by claiming that he would facilitate her husband’s release from prison.

Neetu Kapoor reacts to paparazzi saying ‘Aap dadi banne wali hai’ after Alia Bhatt & Ranbir Kapoor’s baby news

Bollywood actors Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, who tied the knot in April 2022, are expecting their first child. The actress, who is currently in London shooting for her Hollywood film Heart Of Stone, took to Instagram to announce her pregnancy news. Alia Bhatt on Monday took to her Instagram to share a photo from the hospital in which she and Ranbir Kapoor are seeing a sonogram. “Our baby ….. coming soon.” Since then, the couple has been receiving best wishes from fans, friends, and colleagues in the industry.

Neetu Kapoor, who is elated to become a grandmother again, was seen reacting to the paparazzi who congratulated her. In the video, paparazzi tell her, “Congratulations Neetu ji, aap dadi banne wale ho, jug jugg jeeyo” to which she responded with a smile saying, “thank you,” and placed her hand on her heart.

Nayanthara joins Shah Rukh Khan on new schedule of Jawan after returning from her honeymoon

Earlier in June 2022, Red Chillies Entertainment announced Jawan, a massive action entertainer, starring the megastar Shah Rukh Khan and helmed by director Atlee Kumar. The actor had also shared the first teaser and poster of the film which created quite an uproar amongst fans. The film stars Nayanthara in the lead role opposite SRK and will likely have a cameo from Deepika Padukone.

Now, Nayanthara has joined Shah Rukh Khan on the new schedule of Jawan after returning from her honeymoon with Vignesh Shivan. The schedule will be till mid-July. The actress had taken a break for her wedding and now is back to work to fulfill her work commitments.

Recently, while talking about Pathaan on his Instagram live, Shah Rukh Khan said, “Too early to say. There is still a long way to go. There is not much I can tell you about Jawan except the fact that I am having a great time as an actor. And Atlee, the director, it is a different kind of film. Everybody has seen his work. He makes outstanding mass-oriented films, again a genre I have never done. So, I wanted to try my hands on it. And I think me and Atlee have good chemistry. I bring in some (to the film), and he brings in some. Whatever we have done of Jawan is thrilling and exciting.”

Red Chillies Entertainment presents Jawan, starring Shah Rukh Khan in the lead and produced by Gauri Khan. Jawan will be released on 2nd June 2023 in five languages making it Shah Rukh Khan’s first Pan India film.

With Jawan, Shah Rukh Khan is set to treat the audiences and his fans with three films next year, namely, Dunki, Pathaan & now Jawan.
