Actress Kajal Aggarwal has starred in numerous Telugu and Tamil movies, but the actress has also made her mark in Bollywood. Kajal is currently enjoying her newfound motherhood in bliss, being a doting parent to her 7-month-old baby boy Neil. Although she took a hiatus from acting post giving birth, the Tollywood diva has recently made a comeback into showbiz. Kajal Aggarwal is thrilled about the release of her upcoming horror comedy flick, Ghosty. The teaser of the film, directed by Kalyaan, was unveiled today, October 31. Going by the teaser, Ghosty is a wacky horror thriller with Kajal playing two roles, as a police officer and a heroine. Through the promo, director Kalyan confirmed that Ghosty will have a theatrical release.

An avid social media user, Kajal is often seen sharing her upcoming projects, travel getaways, and snippets of her glamorous photoshoots on Instagram. This time, the Acharya actress made all the heads turn as she dropped a streak of stunning pictures, announcing that her next film, Ghosty is “coming soon.” “Ghosty coming soon,” she captioned her post. Kajal adopted a bohemian look for the photos, donning an embroidered dress by Arpita Mehta. The garment Kajal is wearing has blue embroidery and mirror work all over it. Her dress has fringe on the hem and sleeves as well as sea shell embellishments all throughout. The actress is seen flaunting her exuberant smile as posed for the pics. Kajal paired her look with white heel boots and statement sea shell earring with pink tassels. Kajal’s choice of accessory was quite distinctive.

For makeup, she wore blue smoky eyeshadow, Kohl-rimmed eyes, sleek eyeliner, highlighted cheeks, and a glossy pink lip consisted of her makeup. Her locks were left open in soft curls and her glam game was on point.

Meanwhile, the teaser showcases Kajal Aggarwal in dual roles, as a police officer and an actress. The actress’s spirit haunts the police officer. Meanwhile, Yogi Babu is the only one who has the ability to ward off the spirit. Ghosty has a star-studded cast includes Kajal Aggarwal, Yogi Babu, KS Ravikumar, Redin Kingsley, Oorvasi, Thangadurai and Jagan in key roles. The film consists of composer Sam CS, cinematographer Jacob Rathinaraj and Editor Vijay Velukutty. The film’s release date will be announced later.

EXCLUSIVE: Sooraj Barjatya on how his kind of filmmaking is relevant in today’s times – “Values of families remain the same, even if they’re not a joint one”

Director Sooraj Barjatya has given some of the most iconic family- dramas in Bollywood. His films were no less than a celebration of relationships, values, and Indian culture. The 58-year-old filmmaker is currently gearing up for his next directorial Uunchai which stars Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, and Boman Irani in the lead.

When we asked where does his filmmaking come in in today’s market to still be relevant and if it’s a challenge. Sooraj said, “If you see traditionally then we say family values are declining. But I feel the importance of a family will never change. I feel only the ways of exhibiting family values will change.”

He further explained, “Values of families remain the same, even if they’re not a joint one. Or for example, I couldn’t talk freely with my father but nowadays my children sit with me and talk to me freely. This doesn’t mean they don’t love or respect me, it’s just the way of showing respect that has changed, which we must respect. So, I think families will always be the core force.”

“Today, everyone is much more focused on themselves, which is correct also, we must respect it. But personally, I feel cinema has a big responsibility,” he said before adding, “As a director I feel I would like to go against the wind and I would like to give back those traditions somewhere.”

He then continued, “I am trying to say it in a different way, in a humorous way because someone should at least say it if in a family, you trust each other, you’ll be trusted. Because that’s important.”

Speaking of Uunchai, the film is slated to release on November 11. The film explores the story of three friends, who decide to climb the Mount Everest to fulfil the last wish of their late friend.

Rihanna releases ‘Lift Me Up,’ new lead single from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack

Rihanna – The global icon, designer, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and the top-selling digital singles artist of all time, has made her highly-anticipated return to the airwaves today with ‘Lift Me Up’, the lead single from the upcoming Black Panther: Wakanda Forever original soundtrack.

‘Lift Me Up’ a tribute to the extraordinary life and legacy of Chadwick Boseman written by Tems, Oscar winner Ludwig Göransson, Rihanna and Ryan Coogler – leads the forthcoming soundtrack Black Panther: Wakanda Forever – Music From and Inspired By, available November 4 from Roc Nation Records/Def Jam Recordings/Hollywood Records.

The soundtrack is produced by Ryan Coogler, Ludwig Göransson, Archie Davis and Dave Jordan. The Black Panther: Wakanda Forever – Original Score, composed and produced by Ludwig Göransson, will be available on November 11 from Hollywood Records.

In Marvel Studios’ Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, one of the most highly anticipated film events of the year, Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett), Shuri (Letitia Wright), M’Baku (Winston Duke), Okoye (Danai Gurira) and the Dora Milaje (including Florence Kasumba) fight to protect their nation from intervening world powers in the wake of King T’Challa’s death.

Akshay Kumar to undergo intense preparation to play Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in Mahesh Manjrekar’s Veer Daudale Saat

A couple of days back, it was announced that Akshay Kumar would soon be seen playing the role of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in Mahesh Manjrekar’s directorial Veer Daudale Saat. In fact, a grand event was held announcing the film that saw Raj Thackrey and Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde in attendance. Also making an appearance was Manjrekar’s friend Salman Khan, who arrived to lend his support to the film. But, having attempted to play Samrat Prithviraj Akshay Kumar, who will be playing another formidable historical figure in the Marathi film Veer Daudale Saat we hear is taking no chances.

While trade hope is that Akshay will do his homework before plunging into such a formidable part in Veer Daudale Saat. The actor is apparently leaving no stone unturned to ensure he gets the character and the representation correct. In fact, this time Akshay will not be taking any risks says a source, “This time Akshay intends to go very carefully. Playing Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is a huge responsibility. In Maharashtra, he is God. Both Akshay and director Mahesh Manjrekar are aware of this.”

Continuing further about the prep work the actor will be doing for Veer Daudale Saat the source continues, “Manjrekar being a Maharashtrian is of course going to help Akshay get the nuances of language and body language right. This time Akshay is taking no chances.”

Kareena Kapoor is having a great time in London with her friends and family, despite her busy schedule

Kareena Kapoor Khan, who was last seen in Aamir Khan, Mona Singh, and Nagarjuna starrer Laal Singh Chaddha has begun shooting for her next film. The actress recently travelled to London with her son Jeh in order to film Hansal Mehta’s crime thriller, one of the exciting projects she has lined up. The actress continues to be photographed enjoying herself with her son, friends, and family despite her busy working schedule. Even if Kareena is in London for work, her photos and London diaries will have you yearning for a relaxing vacation. Here are a few excerpts from her diary from London

Day out with baby Jeh

On Wednesday, Kareena Kapoor and her son, Jeh Ali Khan, stepped out in London to enjoy an outing in a park. Kareena got a day off from her shoot and decided to spend it with Jeh. After receiving a day off from filming, Kareena chose to spend it with Jeh. In the photos, they can be seen admiring the surroundings, taking in the fall foliage, playing in the park, and standing in front of trees while wearing cosy winter attire. The actor made the most of fall in an all-black ensemble, showcasing her role as the trendiest mother in town. She wore a loose-fitting, grey denim shirt with full sleeves, front buttons, and a collared neckline and curved hem. The shirt was worn by Kareena over a high-neck knit sweater and a pair of joggers with a gathered hem and a baggy fit. Kareena Kapoor’s ensemble was finished off by a black puffer jacket with half sleeves and a high collar and short hem.

Kareena choose black leather Chelsea boots and tinted sunglasses for her accessories. Ultimately, a sleek ponytail, pink lip colour with glossy finish, healthy-looking skin, rosy blush, and no makeup completed the look.

Sisters’ day out
In addition to younger son Jehangir, Kareena is now joined by her sister Karisma Kapoor. On their day out, Kareena and Karisma decided to kill it together. Kareena shared a couple visuals of the Kapoor sisters taking a mirror selfie together in a post. The stars wore animal-printed fur jackets and looked as stunning as ever. Kareena looked stunning in a short, black dress with turtleneck accents. She layered it with a fur jacket with an animal design and knee-high boots. Karisma, on the other hand, opted for a similar outfit and enhanced her appearance with a diamond necklace. Kareena and Karisma appeared relaxed in black sling bags. Another picture shows the sisters standing next to each other while they apply their own makeup. The actors can be seen taking a mirror selfie while shopping in another segment. While Kareena poses in the background clutching a pile of clothing while wearing a black turtleneck jacket and tinted sunglasses, Karisma can be seen rocking casual winter looks in a pair of wide-leg, black full-sleeved jacket and blue jeans. “What sisters do when they have the day together. Dinner date with family
Kareena, Karisma Kapoor, Armaan Jain, and his wife Anissa Malhotra Jain posed for a picture inside a London hotel, and Kareena’s cousin Aadar Jain posted it on Instagram. Kareena was seen in the image sporting a white turtleneck sweater, black pants, and a jacket. She chose to wear black heels and had a blue bag. Standing next to her sister, Karisma was dressed in a black-and-white ensemble with matching shoes and a bag. As they headed out for dinner, everyone was dressed warmly. Claridge’s, a posh hotel in London, was the place that Aadar Jain geotagged. Aadar shared the picture without adding a caption, just a black heart emoji.

Lunch Date with family

Kareena met her sister Karisma Kapoor, her aunt Rima Jain, and her cousin Nitasha Nanda for lunch. Haseena Jethmalani, a friend, was also among them. On Thursday morning, the Laal Singh Chaddha actor uploaded a picture to her Instagram Stories. She can be seen posing outside of what appears to be a restaurant with her family and friends. Kareena Kapoor in an all-black ensemble and a blue sling bag looked stylish. For the luncheon, Karisma Kapoor chose black turtleneck top, blue pants, and a black jacket.

Vicky Kaushal starrer Govinda Naam Mera to release directly on OTT

After Kartik Aaryan starrer Freddy, another much-anticipated Bollywood film will release directly on OTT. Bhumi Pednekar, Vicky Kaushal, and Kiara Advani starrer Govinda Naam Mera will release on a streaming platform. However, the makers have not revealed any details of its streaming partner and release date.

Given that Govinda Naam Mera sold to Star Network for Rs. 62 crores, it is crystal clear that the upcoming flick will be streamed on Disney+ Hotstar. In August this year, Bollywood Hungama had reported about the deal. A source close to the development had told us, “It’s a comic entertainer, but not exactly a film that’s ideal for the big screen in today’s world. Hence, the makers decided on a direct-to-digital premiere.”

The source had further added that the satellite and digital rights have been sold to Star Network for Rs 62 crore. Giving details of the same, the source had explained, “the digital rights are valued at Rs. 42 crores and the satellite rights at Rs. 20 crores. The initial market expectation of Dharma Productions for Govinda Naam Mera was Rs. 80 crores, but the buyers were not too keen to spend such a big amount on the film. Finally, the deal was locked at Rs. 62 crores.”

Concluding the same, the source told us, “the budget of the film is equal to the revenue fetched. The team is now in a no profit no loss zone, which is still better than entailing losses in today’s world.”

It is worth mentioning here that, Govinda Mera Naam is the fifth film produced by Dharma Production to skip theatres after Drive, Gunjan Saxena, Shershaah and Gehraiyaan.
