SHOCKING: Trailer of Salman Khan’s Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan has NO MENTION of the film’s writers

The much-awaited trailer of Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan was finally unveiled yesterday, Monday, April 10 at a grand event in a multiplex in Mumbai. In a rare instance, multiple screens were booked by the makers of the film. Salman Khan along with the entire star cast, comprising Pooja Hegde, Bhumika Chawla, Palak Tiwari, Shehnaaz Gill, Vinali Bhatnagar, Jassie Gill, Raghav Juyal, Siddharth Nigam and Jagapathi Bapu were present and so were director Farhad Samji, Zee Studios’ CBO Shariq Patel and singers Sukhbir, Palak Mucchal and Payal Dev. The team of the film showed the trailer to the mediapersons and then they headed to the other screen, where fans were asked to assemble. The videos from both screens have been making the rounds.

SHOCKING Trailer of Salman Khan’s Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan has NO MENTION of the film’s writers

Another rare factor is with regard to the trailer itself. The end credits of Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’s trailer mention several crew members. Shockingly, the names of the writers or those who wrote the story, screenplay and dialogues are conspicuous by their absence. The cinematographer, associate producer, music directors, editor, action director, production designer, costume designer, background score composer, marketing and strategy consultant, creative supervisors, VFX and DI studios, visual promotions company, theatrical trailer cutters, publicity designers, PR company, digital marketing consultant and post production company have got a due mention. Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan is released worldwide by Zee Studios and not just the name of its chief business officer but even that of the acquisition and revenue head, marketing head, head of business affairs, legal head and finance head have got a mention. But the writers haven’t.

An industry expert commented, “This is very puzzling. Writers are always mentioned in the end credits of the trailers. In today’s times, it is even more crucial to do so. 2 years ago, Netflix dropped its ‘no-mention-of-writers’ policy and began adding end credits in their trailers. In such a scenario, it is shocking to see Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’s trailer being released without mentioning the film’s writers.”

Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan releases on Eid, that is, April 21, 2023.

Bobby Deol says, “Stardom doesn’t last too long, I was a star once, and it died”

Bobby Deol made a rollicking entry in Bollywood in the 1990s and then acquired fame through successful films like Barsaat, Gupt, Soldier, etc. However, years later, his career didn’t go the way he or his fans would have expected. There came a time after 2013 when Bobby didn’t have a single film released for four years. But he returned with Poster Boys and ever since has been doing films regularly.

In a chat with Hindustan Times, Bobby looked back at the down phase of his life. He said, “I knew that if I fall, my parents will always be the cushion. But the fall hurts no matter how much cushion they gave me. As an individual guy, I had to stand up. No one can make or break you. Stardom doesn’t last too long. I was a star once, and it died, it vanished. No one took me seriously as an actor. I knew I had the potential, and the capabilities but nobody had given me an opportunity. I had chosen work which didn’t work for me, so things went the other way around. So, I tried working on that and worked on myself as an actor.”

Bobby added that he realized that there is a time when people would want you, but you will also go through the opposite. The actor went through it and gave up once. “I fought back, and I realised that I have to make them (people) want me. How do I do that? By being a positive energy. Everyone needs to try to keep that positive energy. It is very difficult to do that. (But) I have been through it. There are weak moments in a day itself. I’m feeling absolutely happy, then during the middle of the day I feel weak and then at night, I’m happy. We all go through it.”

Bobby will next be seen in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s biggie in the form of Animal, where Ranbir Kapoor plays the titular role. The film also stars Anil Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna.

Bholaa Box Office: Ajay Devgn starrer holds well over weekend; enjoys clear run till release of Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan

It was an expectedly low Saturday for Gumraah as Rs. 0.75 crore* came in. On Friday the film had collected Rs. 1.10 crores and the reason that it went past the Rs. 1 crore was due to it being a partial holiday of Good Friday. Hence, it was inevitable that a drop will come on Saturday. More so, since there was no real buzz around the film prior to release and post its arrival too the word of mouth wasn’t quite spreading.

Bholaa Box Office Ajay Devgn starrer holds well over weekend; enjoys clear run till release of Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan

All that it can hope for now is to get back to the Rs. 1 crore zone today, though that too would be just an optic because from the bigger picture perspective, the game is over for Gumraah. Again, the film is not bad but then it has OTT written all over it. Aditya Roy Kapur was recently seen in The Night Manager and it was a good move. Now just like Om, this one too has seen a theatrical release first though it would primarily find more eyeballs on the small screen.

As for Bholaa, it’s a big screen film indeed and that showed in the double digit opening for the film and then the way it went past the Rs. 10 crores mark again on Saturday as well as Sunday. However, it hasn’t touched the Rs. 5 crores mark ever since, which it deserves to, and hopefully that would happen today. On Saturday, the film came close to the Rs. 4 crores zone again and brought in Rs. 3.90 crores. Now all eyes are on at least Sunday to hit the Rs. 5 crores mark. Current standing at Rs. 67.39 crores, the film will hit Rs. 75 crores milestone during the third weekend

*Estimates. Final numbers awaited

Note: All collections as per production and distribution sources
