Actor Sahil Khan gets arrested by Mumbai cyber cell in connection to the Mahadev Betting App

Best known for films like Style and Excuse Me, actor Sahil Khan, who is now an influencer, has been arrested by the Mumbai Police in connection with the Mahadev betting app case. The arrest was made by the Mumbai cyber cell’s Special Investigating Team (SIT) in Chhattisgarh after the court rejected the pre-arrest bail plea, followed by asserting that Khan is the co-owner of the app.

Previously, the SIT had summoned Sahil and three others for questioning in December 2023, but he failed to appear. Followed by that, he applied for a pre-arrest bail which has now been rejected by the Bombay High Court. Despite several allegations were made against the Style actor in regards to the app, Sahil denied any direct involvement with the betting platform and continued to assert that he was merely a brand promoter endorsing The Lion Book brand under contract with M/s. Isports247. However, the police has decided to stick with their allegations that he was a co-owner of the app, following which he is being brought to Mumbai via Raipur and is expected to be produced before the court this afternoon.

Meanwhile, Sahil has maintained that he signed a contract with the company for 24 months, for posting promotional videos on his social media under a fixed remuneration of Rs. 3 lakhs which will be paid monthly. After the actor gave his statement about being a brand promoter, he applied for a pre-bail plea which was, however, dismissed by the court, as they cited his alleged direct involvement in the illegal operation.

Earlier In 2023, the crime branch, investigating the Mahadev betting app case, had summoned Sahil Khan and three others to record their statements on December 15. However, Sahil failed to cooperate but remained active on social media, posting photos and videos, further drawing flak for his non-compliant behaviour.

On the work front, while Sahil Khan has stayed away from films, he kicked off his entrepreneurial fitness venture Divine Nutrition, which offers fitness supplements.

Fardeen Khan shares his experience of walking the red carpet for Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar after 14 years; says, “Feeling a mix of nerves and nostalgia”

Fardeen Khan, who has not been on screen since 2010, has made a massive comeback with none other than the respected filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The latter marked his web-series debut with Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, and along with him, Fardeen too made a comeback in the entertainment industry as Nawab Wali Mohammed in this pre-Independence historic drama. Expressing his gratitude towards bagging this role and sharing his experience of walking the red carpet at the premiere which was held earlier this week, Khan shared a heartfelt post on social media.

It is a known fact that Fardeen Khan underwent extensive transformation before he decided to return to the film industry. The actor couldn’t be more excited to make a comeback on such a grand scale. The premiere of the web-series was held in Mumbai earlier this week, where two episodes of the show were screened for the celebrity guests who were a part of this glitzy evening. Along with that, the star cast also walked the red carpet for the Sanjay Leela Bhansali production and sharing experience of the same, “14 years on, getting ready to walk the red carpet again”.

He further went on to add, “Feeling a mix of nerves and nostalgia, but mostly, I’m just grateful. To my incredible fans who’ve waited, this moment was ours. Without your love and support I wouldn’t be here. So here’s to new beginnings and cherished memories! Sending you all my love.”

Apart from these Fardeen Khan also shared another post, wherein he said, “Being away for as long as I have, I could only dream of a night like this. Salman Khan-Firing Case: Mumbai police charges suspects under MCOCA, reveals reports

The firing incident at Galaxy Apartment has been undergoing significant developments lately. Initially, the Mumbai police issued a Look Out Circular (LOC) against Anmol Bishnoi, the younger brother of incarcerated gangster Lawrence Bishnoi after he is accused of being the man behind the recent attack on Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. Now, recent reports reveal that the authorities have invoked the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) in connection with the incident.

Following the firing incident outside his apartment in Mumbai, multiple investigative teams have been actively pursuing leads. After earlier reports suggested the Mumbai police have named two suspects Sagar Pal and Vicky Gupta, recently two alleged arms suppliers were identified as Sonu Subhash Chander and Anuj Thapan, in connection to the case. As per reports from ANI, all of them have been charged under MCOCA. Officers were quoted in the recent report where they confirmed the developments in the case and added, “All accused have been booked under Sections 3(1)(2), 3(1)(3), and 3(1)(4) of MCOCA,”.

Subsequently, after Anmol Bishnoi purportedly claimed responsibility for the shooting in a Facebook post, law enforcement authorities issued another Look Out Circular (LOC) against him. Furthermore, with the gathering of substantial evidence, Lawrence Bishnoi has been designated as the primary suspect in the case, despite his imprisonment.

Following the arrest of the accused, law enforcement authorities have also made a few other breakthroughs in the investigation which includes discovering a firearm and live cartridges in the Tapi River in Gujarat, along with footprints of one of the suspects, Vicky, which were also traced during their attempt to flee to Bhuj, Gujarat.

Besides these, the Delhi Crime Branch officials also reportedly conducted a three-hour long interrogation of Sagar Pal and Vicky Gupta with their custody being extended from April 25 to April 29. Meanwhile, as per reports from ANI, the Esplanade Court in Mumbai has granted Mumbai Crime Branch custody of both arms suppliers until April 30.

Madhuri Dixit, Vidya Balan, Kartik Aaryan and Triptii Dimri to shoot reworked version of ‘Ami Je Tomar’ for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 in Mumbai: Report

This Diwali, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is all set to take you on a thrilling and laughter-filled rollercoaster ride. Led by Kartik Aaryan, the film promises to be a successor to its wildly popular predecessors. The audience will witness a dance face-off between Madhuri Dixit and the Vidya Balan. A week ago, it was reported that the movie will feature a spectacular dance sequence between these two powerhouses, recreating the iconic song ‘Ami Je Tomar’ from the franchise.  In the sequel, Kartik Aaryan also performed on the song as Rooh Baba with Tabu’s dual characters. Now, all three will join the revamped version along with Triptii Dimri.

Now, according to a report in Mid-day, the third schedule of the film is in full swing at Film City in Mumbai, with actors like Kartik Aaryan, Vidya Balan, Madhuri Dixit-Nene, and Triptii Dimri gracing the sets. Director Anees Bazmee has planned a thrilling 15-day shoot, with a mix of horror and action sequences alongside the highly anticipated dance number.

Remember the captivating performance by Vidya Balan in the 2007 original, where she embodied Manjulika and danced to ‘Ami Je Tomar’. The song has become synonymous with the Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise, and this time around, it’s getting a fresh twist. Composer Amaal Mallik has reinterpreted the track, promising a new take on this beloved classic.

A source told the publication, “In Film City, art director Rajat Poddarr and his team have built a massive set of a vintage mansion as found in West Bengal. Choreographer Chinni Prakash has set the song against this backdrop, visualising it as a classical dance number featuring Kartik, Vidya, Madhuri and Triptii. Like in the last two instalments, the track will come at a critical juncture in the narrative.”

Meanwhile, following the 15-day schedule in Mumbai, the team will take a short break. The plan is to wrap the shoot by May 10 and then head to Europe for a romantic song shoot featuring Kartik Aaryan and Triptii Dimri.

The team recently wrapped the shoot in the vibrant city of Kolkata. Earlier reports mentioned director Anees Bazmee scouting for the perfect spooky location in Kolkata! The film is scheduled for Diwali 2024 release.

Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan confirmed to reunite after 14 years for a horror fantasy film

Filmmaker Priyadarshan has confirmed that he is reuniting with Akshay Kumar after 14 years. The duo had worked together on Hera Pheri and Bhool Bhulaiyaa. The filmmaker said that they will be working on a horror fantasy film with elements of humour. The project will be backed by Ektaa R Kapoor.

Priyadarshan told Hindustan Times, “Now that I am done with my docu-series on the Ram Mandir’s history, my most important film on which I am beginning work is the one with Akshay, produced by Ekta Kapoor. It is a horror fantasy with humour.”

When asked if it’s like Bhool Bhulaiyaa, the filmmaker said,  “That was a psychological thriller, but this one will be fantasy, in the backdrop of black magic, the oldest superstition of India. It is always a pleasure collaborating with Akshay. From our first film to this one, it has always turned out well with him, he handles the emotions so well. I was waiting for a good subject to get back with him, and this one I feel will be that.”

Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar has an array of films including Sky Force, Singham Again cameo, Welcome to the Jungle, C Shankaran Nair biopic called and a few more.
