Megan Thee Stallion is going to be the subject of a new documentary series from her management company Roc Nation and the Emmy Award-winning Time Studios. The new series was announced on Thursday, March 24, 2022, via Variety.
It looks like something is stirring in team PAW Patrol. Rubble, the English Bulldog, is getting his own spinoff! According to Deadline, the announcement was made last Thursday at Nickelodeon’s upfront.
Last year James Gunn teased that the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special would feature the introduction of one of the “great new Marvel characters”, which led to a lot of fan speculation about just who that would be. Now the writer/director has gone one step further to suggest that more than one Marvel hero will be making their first MCU appearance in the Disney+ show this December. Along with his expectation-setting suggestion that this is the “best thing he’s ever done”, the special is already getting more hype than the third Guardians movie that follows it.
While James Gunn is now filming Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3, we will see the ragtag group a couple of times before that movie arrives next year. First members of the Guardians team will be joining Thor in Love and Thunder this summer, and then we will see them again in the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special in December. In a recent interview with the Radio Times, Gunn called the new special “the greatest thing he’s ever done in his life” and seemed to suggest that it is more wild and unbelievable than anything he has previously been a part of.
Fans of the hit series Only Murders in the Building will have an important date to mark on the calendar. On Friday, Hulu released a new teaser for the show's upcoming second season that features main cast members Steve Martin, Selena Gomez, and Martin Short. Addressing the viewers from the inside of an elevator, the trio announced that season 2 of the acclaimed series will start streaming this summer with an official premiere date set for June 28, 2022. There’s a new project coming from Sesame Workshop, and this one is heading back to the barn. The classic children’s book, Charlotte’s Web by E. B. White, gains another adaptation from HBO Max. Luke Matheny will serve as head writer and executive producer.

Star Wars has delivered a lot and is currently promising much more with Disney+ now at its disposal, but one series that sits on top of the pile as the “almost was” of unmade Star Wars projects is Star Wars Detours. Unlike many other projects that never advanced beyond early development, Star Wars Detours, which was created by Seth Green and had dozens of episodes of the comedy series complete at the time Disney bought Lucasfilm and seemingly put the brakes on the show ever being seen. To further tease fans about what might have been, Weird Al Yankovic has revealed that he recorded music to be used in the show.
Although there has been very little official information about it, Marvel Studios’ Werewolf by Night Halloween Special is certainly getting a lot of attention, and a new Moon Knight featurette has again brought another tease for one of the other supernatural Marvel characters heading to the MCU. Werewolf by Night is rumored to make an appearance in Moon Knight, and although Oscar Isaac has made it clear that the new series will not rely on a lot of Marvel Easter eggs, that doesn’t mean it won’t introduce a few future teases and lead-ins.
The wait for Stranger Things season 4 is almost over, and while Netflix continue to the tease the new two-part penultimate season with recaps and new images, series creator Ross Duffer has been giving his own tantalizing comments about the upcoming episodes. Although we already know that this season is bigger than its predecessors, the writer has indicated that we should expect some feature length episodes when the first set of new episodes arrive at the end of May, and that will make fans of the series very happy.
The season premiere of the second season of Russian Doll has officially been announced by Netflix. The Emmy-winning comedy-drama series created by Natasha Lyonne, Amy Poehler, and Leslye Headland will return this spring. The series stars Lyonne as Nadia, a software engineer who lives in New York City and is stuck in a time loop that continues reliving her 36th birthday. She dies repeatedly, always restarting at the same moment at her birthday party as she tries to figure out what is happening to her.
The Lost City directing duo Aaron and Adam Nee are gearing up to helm the long, long-awaited Masters of the Universe movie for Mattel Studios and Netflix, with the pair having now teased what audiences can expect from their take on this beloved 80s institution. Speaking with Variety, the Nee Brothers heaped praise on their leading man, West Side Story star Kyle Allen, who is attached to play He-Man, and teased the parkour and “Jackie Chan-style crazy action stuff” that the character will perform in the movie.
Stranger Things will return with its penultimate season in May, and to help get fans even more excited, Netflix has just dropped a variety of photos from the new episodes. The fourth season will be comprised of nine episodes and will be divided in half, as Netflix will give fans the first set on May 27, followed by the rest of the season on July 1. The acclaimed comedy series Grace and Frankie is set to end next month, as Netflix has revealed the final episodes will hit the streaming service on April 29, 2022. Bringing the seventh and final season to a close, Grace and Frankie also sets the record as the longest-running Netflix original series.
