MORBIUS is the story of a genius doctor trying to cure himself. Michael Morbius (Jared Leto) is a celebrated doctor who has invented 'artificial blood', which has saved millions of lives worldwide. He is handicapped since birth and is trying to find a cure for it. His research leads him to conclude that mixing the DNA of bats will be the cure that he's looking for. He manages to trap several bats in Costa Rica and secretly brings them to his lab in New York. He begins an experiment on a rat and it produces encouraging results. Morbius then along with his colleague, Dr Martine Bancroft (Adria Arjona), goes to the international waters in a ship. There, Martine injects himself with bat serum. Morbius gets cured of his handicap but also injects himself with a form of vampirism instead. In a fit of uncontrolled rage, he ends up killing the ship's crew. Morbius destroys the CCTV footage and escapes. Meanwhile, Lucian aka Milo (Matt Smith) is a close childhood friend of Morbius and is also handicap. Morbius had assured him that he'll cure Milo as well. After the episode on the ship, Morbius decides to not use it on Milo. However, Milo is dying to be 'normal' and hence, secretly injects himself with the serum, leading to madness. What happens next forms the rest of the film.

The Mandalorian season 3 has finally wrapped filming, clearing the way for a sooner than expected return of Grogu and Din Djarin. After a now-deleted Instagram post by the make-up department of the series sent fans into a frenzy, Carl Weathers, who plays Greef Karga in the series and serves as a director, officially confirmed the news via his Twitter handle. "And what a season of WONDERFULNESS!" the Rocky star wrote.

J.J. Abrams is developing a TV series based on the Irish rock band U2 for Netflix. Abrams will produce the currently untitled show via his Bad Robot Productions. Tokyo Vice Trailer: Ansel Elgort and Ken Watanabe Star in Michael Mann Directed Thriller

HBO Max has released the official trailer for the upcoming thriller series, Tokyo Vice. Based on actual events, Tokyo Vice stars Ansel Elgort as American journalist Jake Adelstein, who, while reporting for a Japanese newspaper, uncovers corruption within the Tokyo Vice police squad. The show was created by award-winning playwright J.T. Rogers and is inspired by Adelstein’s 2009 memoir, Tokyo Vice: An American Reporter on the Police Beat in Japan. It turns out we won't be getting any new explanations from a middle-aged Clarissa. In 2018, it had been reported that Melissa Joan Hart would return as the titular character in a Clarissa Explains It All revival for Nickelodeon. She was also on board to produce the series with Mitchell Kriegman in talks to write and direct. Updates have not been fruitful since, and the reason for this, as it turns out, is that Nickelodeon has since scrapped the project.

Mike Myers joined the world of Instagram last week and it seems his main reason for doing so is to drop a whole bunch of cryptic photos that are all linked to the number 5. His latest post, showing a helicopter with the number 5 on the side of it, also came with the comment of “5 Days. Parents TV Council Blasts Disney+ for Adding Mature Content Like Daredevil and The Punisher

The Parents Television and Media Council (PTC) has criticized Disney+ ahead of the debut of Daredevil, The Punisher, and other Netflix-produced Marvel TV shows on the streaming platform on March 16, 2022. All six Defenders universe shows (Daredevil, Jessica Jones, The Punisher, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, The Defenders) are rated TV-MA (Mature Audiences Only) and thus are unsuitable for children. This does not sit well with the PTC, who last week slammed HBO’s Euphoria as well, calling it "grossly irresponsible" for its graphic depiction of nudity, drug use, and child abuse.

The popular Sarah Michelle Gellar-starring series is about to bring the nostalgia back to cable after finding a new home on the Latinx-owned Fuse. The channel, which is run by Fuse Media, used to be primarily dedicated to music but has since begun branching out to include “empowering multicultural content”, and it will be adding the 7 season run of Buffy The Vampire Slayer to that content starting on October 1st, 2022.

Star Trek: Picard Wraps Filming on Its Third and Final Season

Star Trek: Picard premiered its second season on Paramount+ at the beginning of the month and now filming has concluded on its third and final season, although that season is not expected to premiere until 2023. With the series coming to an end, the second and third seasons were shot concurrently, likely for the ease of having its 450 strong crew already assembled and as a cost saving measure to counter the usually high costs of making a science fiction series as well as additional issues faced due to Covid.

Barbie Ferreira Shuts Down Rumors of Euphoria Set Drama

If you’ve been on Twitter the past two months, then you’re most likely aware of the Euphoria drama that has been circling. Barbie Ferreira, who plays Kat on the hit show, has been the subject of some of those rumors due to her character getting less screen time on the show’s second season. Additionally, the rumors alleged that she fought with the series creator Sam Levinson over her character. Ferrerira recently told Insider that many reports claiming there was tension during the production of Euphoria Season 2 are untrue. Ferreira and Levinson’s argument also reportedly led to Ferreira’s storming offset. However, HBO has denied that happening.

Ernie Hudson to Co-Star with Raymond Lee in Quantum Leap Reboot

Ernie Hudson has joined the cast of NBC's Quantum Leap reboot pilot, appearing in a starring role alongside Raymond Lee. Per Deadline, the pilot acknowledges the original Quantum Leap but is set 30 years since Scott Bakula's Dr. Sam Beckett vanished after stepping into the Quantum Leap accelerator. There's no indication at this time that Bakula will be involved in the pilot, but the door is open for his character to appear at some point if the show is ordered to series.

God of War Live-Action Series Adaptation Reportedly Lands at Prime Video

After years spent in development hell, the long-gestating live-action adaptation of God of War may have finally found its home. Deadline reports that Prime Video is currently in negotiations for a live-action series based on the popular action-adventure video games. The project comes from The Expanse creators and executive producers Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby, in collaboration with The Wheel of Time executive producer and showrunner Rafe Judkins, as well as Sony Pictures TV and PlayStation Productions.



The Walking Dead's Maggie and Negan Are Getting Their Own Spinoff

The Walking Dead is ending with its eleventh season this year, but the franchise is far from finished. AMC has just announced a fifth spinoff series dubbed Isle of the Dead, along with news that the new show will arrive on AMC and AMC+ in 2023. What's known about this new spinoff is that it will focus on Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), and its freshman season will consist of six episodes, presumably with the option of moving forward with more if the show is well-received.

Looks like Emilia Clarke is all geared up for the upcoming Disney+ series, Secret Invasion, and is already going full throttle with its production. In a new video from the sets of the miniseries, Emilia Clarke can be seen pinned to the ground with a man grabbing her neck. The sequence seems to be part of a larger action sequence in the film, which will probably put Clarke’s character in a life-threatening situation. Another interesting fact about the video is that the other person fighting off Clarke is donning the motion-capture suit, that is meant for digitally creating CGI characters and their complex movements. It’s possible that this character would be infiltrating Skrull on the planet.



The Batman Director Clears Up Arkham Spin-Off Series Confusion

As The Batman arrived in cinemas, talk of sequels and spin-offs have already begun, with a lot being teased about the future of the new Batman franchise. Breaking Bad to Marathon Complete Series on AMC Ahead of Better Call Saul Season 6

With season 6 of the spinoff set to arrive in April, AMC has announced plans to air the complete series of Breaking Bad in the weeks leading up to the premiere. Dubbed Breaking Bad: The Complete Marathon, this will be a five-week marathon with the complete seasons airing across five consecutive Saturdays. It starts with "Pilot" on March 19 and concludes with "Felina" on April 16, day ahead of the April 18 premiere of the final season of Saul.
